链接未来——彭鸣亮艺术纵横谈

  

     “自古以来’对人类永恒的诱惑是什么?金钱、享乐、权利、地位?在我看来,这些只是欲贪之人短暂拥有的念头,而对人类产生永恒诱惑的,是令人们一代接一代无怨无悔地追求探究的因素,这就是对未来的畅想。因为这样,从结绳、石头、贝壳到算盘到计算器到电脑;从石斧、石锤、骨针到金属工具到机械化到自动化;从愚公移山到修路造桥到填海造地;从马拉人推到蒸汽机车到飞机轮船到航天飞机。人类从未停下发展的脚步,而这种巨大的力量都来自于对未来的想象!”这是艺术家彭呜亮在参加一次艺术沙龙时的即兴言谈。那天,彭鸣亮谈兴甚浓,我从中能感受到他对艺术的执着和热忱。

  在沙发上惬意落座的彭鸣亮,衣着时尚得体,神采飞扬,很难想象他在童年时也曾历尽坎坷。在他小时候,家里的大人们都忙于轮班照顾日益病重的父亲,无暇顾及年幼的彭鸣亮,他只能在外公和舅舅归国时带回的画册里徜徉。受世界名画的启蒙,初谙世事的彭鸣亮在困惑时有了希望,在无助时获得了力量。数以百计的素描白描摹本和色彩素描写生,从少年彭鸣亮的手中诞生并保存至今。谈及往事,彭鸣亮感慨地说:“时间过得真快!那时的懵懂少年如今已两鬓染霜。虽然我那时学画的境遇很艰难,但幸运的是启蒙阶段获益良多。从—开始,我就认识到艺术的最高境界在于引领思维不断突破对未来的想象,在我以后的实践中,我愈发坚定了这一认识。纵观各时期的大师作品,都具有这一特质。我的作品主线之所以从具象到变形再到抽象,以唯我的姿态走自己的路,就是在追求拥有这种内涵。”

  现如今, 彭鸣亮的作品频频出现在产纠广告装置、地铁灯箱广告和公交车身广告等大众传播媒体以及一些高档楼盘、顶级赛事和会所沙龙等特定活动环境之中,这对其精神上的考验和经济上的压力是可想而知的。为何要如此做呢?“我就要这样做!” 彭鸣亮不假思索地说道,“我向来认为:一个艺术家不能追随收藏家的喜好而创作,更不能把自己的作品被美术馆和博物馆收藏作为目标。因为艺术家是对社会负有特殊责任的人,应该将引导受众

  不断打开通向未来的想象之窗为己任,要让自己的作品成为人类社会想象未来的链接。正因为如此,我的作品不仅在形式和技法上追求精益求精和创新突破,更要尽可能地以各种载体向公众展示,力求用作品深厚扎实的内涵激发受众的想象力,达到宣扬美好和谐的生活方式和积极诚信的人生态度的作用,为社会做出自己应有的贡献。”

  听了这香话,我恍然明白,彭鸣亮对于自己为何如此“给力”宣传自己的作品,又为何如此热衷参加慈善公益活动,给出了—个明确的答案:责任!

  “What has been the most attractive thing to humans Since ancient times? Money? Comfort? Power? Or sociaI Status ? AS far as l am concerned,these are all,temporary aspirations.What is permanent is pure curiosity for the future, generation after generation:from records by tying knots,stones,sheIl,to abacuses and Computers; from axes,hammers and spicules to metal tools and automatic machine; from moving mountains to reclamation;from steam engine to aircraft and ships to space shuttles,backed by big imaginations,human beings never stopped developing.”Those were what artist Peng Mingliang said in an impromptu speech and passion for art.

  Peng wassitting on a sofa,formally dressed and eloquent.NO one would image how unfortunate his childhood cound be.When he was young,hiS family was busy taking care Of his sick father and hence did not have time looking after him. The only thing he could do was read the albums Of paintings his grandfather and uncle brouqht back from overseas.Thanks to the masterpieces,hopes and power grew for a puzzled and helpless Peng.He has made and kept hundreds of drawings since then.Peng said:“How time flies! I was once a muddled child and now I have gray hair. I had lots of difficulties When I was learning to draw.I was lucky to be enlightened by adversity.From the very beginning,I realized how important imagining the future was to art,and l had his notion proven during my practice and the works by masters. Therefore,my drawings have uniquely evolved from imagery to distortion to abstraction.”

  Now, Peng’s works can be widely seen in out—door ads,subway light box ads,bus bodywork ads and places like upscale residential developments,sports Ieagues and club houses.This is mentaIIy and economically stressfuI to him. Why did he do it ? “ just wanted to do this ,”Peng said without hesitation. I always think an artist Should never cater to what collectors like and sould never work to have his works collected by galleries or museums. Artists should be socially responsible for guiding the public to imagine the future and making his works a link to the future. That’s why my drawings are displayed to the public in various forms to spark their imagination and to support a harmonious and positive lifestyle. This is my contribution to society.”

  These remarks broke in on me like daybreak. The reason Peng tries to promote his drawings and stays committed to charity is just responsibility.
