宋琨 Song Kun
1977年生于内蒙古。先后于2002年、2006年在中央美术学院油画系第三工作室获得学士、硕士学位，师从刘小东、谢东明。职业艺术家，中央美术学院油画系第三工作室客座教师，现工作生活于北京。
被誉为“最令人期待的70后女性艺术家”、“她是当代具象绘画领域少数可以称之为建立了自己独特绘画语言的艺术家之一”。作品以绘画为主，同时结合了音乐现场、Music Video、装置等方式，其内含的真实生命状态和情感力量是最与众不同的地方。
1977, born in Inner Mongolia, China. Achieved the degree of BFA and MFA from Oil Painting Department, Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2002 and 2006. Guest professor of Oil Painting Department the 3rd Studio at Central Academy of Fine Arts. Currently lives and works in Beijing.
Song's practice focuses on painting, while incorporating music live, video, installation and other media. She is hailed as one of the most promising female artists in China，and the honesty and emotional power in her work align her with "the few artists who have established their own unique vocabularies of figurative painting in the contemporary art scene".

宋琨的作品一直蕴涵着两个重要的概念：“意识流式的叙事”及“潜意识的暂停与通感”，这是她创作的重要特点，也是对中国东方美学的传承。在现实主义绘画的基础上，宋琨融入了冥想与内省的气质，尝试将绘画语言结合中国传统绘画笔墨及留白与空性的美学观，为中国当代绘画在全球化发展的语境里提供了本土力量新的可能性。
近年来，宋琨的艺术创作步入了一个新的阶段，实验性地将当代亚文化及宗教元素与其创作系统相融合，形成了更加贴近她个人气质的独特样本。
Song Kun's works have always contained important concepts: "streaming narrative of consciousness" and"unconsciousness of the subconscious". These are important features in her creation, in addition to this she uses aspects of Chinese oriental aesthetics. On the basis of realistic painting, Song Kun integrates the temperament of meditation and introspection, traditional Chinese painting brushwork, and aesthetics of negative space into her painting language, which provides new possibilities for Chinese contemporary painting in the context of globalization.
In recent years, Song Kun's artistic creation has entered a new stage, experimentally integrating contemporary subcultures and religious elements with her creative system, forming a unique sample that is closer to her personal temperament.

关于画廊
偏锋新艺术空间成立于2006年，坚持对中国当代艺术进程的洞察以及对欧洲及战后艺术大师的探索，并在两者的对话与碰撞中寻找各种可能的艺术力量；也是中国最早推动抽象艺术研究与发展的主要画廊。偏锋深信艺术的体验产生于一个又一个的变革中创造的新世界；艺术家的作品正是探索世界的第三只眼睛。对于收藏家，我们为其提供专业知识，鼓励他们发掘个人独特的视角，只因两者的充分结合才能构建卓越的收藏。我们希望更多的藏家可以秉持鉴赏家的心态，更深入地理解当代艺术以及欣赏画廊发掘、重塑并坚信的艺术家。
About the Gallery
PIFO Gallery was founded in 2006 as a major gallery in China specialized in the study and promotion of abstract art. PIFO Gallery concentrates on the participation of the course of Chinese contemporary art and the exploration of post-war European master artists and seeking for all possibilities of art power in the dialogue and collision between the two aspects. We hope to see a growing number of collectors to take on the roles of a connoisseur, with a more in-depth understanding of Asian and Western contemporary art, and appreciate the artists discovered, reshaped and firmly believed in by the gallery.
