日内瓦时间2020年3月11日下午，世界卫生组织（WHO）宣布新冠肺炎疫情从特征上可称为大流行。

此前、此后、乃至今和无法预估的未来，各城市、地区陆续启动了封城、社交距离、非接触、限行等举措以对应和防御（被）传染。捉摸不定的病毒偏执且凶猛地蔓延开来，面对这个新生物，不仅科学让人感到无力，关乎世界的层层叙述话语更是面临无法抵达的危机。卷入它的每个（在能够获知与认知的范畴内的）事件都带给每个身陷其中的，包括“观望”的，具体的人或多或少、或重或轻的困扰与未解的对这个世界的更新看法，带来更多的不确定性与复杂性，裹挟了回不去的全球化常态。  

社会-空间连续体的断裂不再是想象，观照我们都经历过和仍承受着的“因为疫情……”的日子，这个展览邀请了身处各地的艺术家在如此“例外状态”下自觉生发的工作。

较之具针对性的在家里、家周边，在社区或在屏幕上的行动而言，公共机构更似“第二手”现场，不妨打开它，化作某种后续的通道和转换，让这些更（去）日常化的创作延伸和溢出，并不让期间、仍在持续的思考消散。在事件发生中，本身包含着真实。这些“事件发生性作品”提醒着诸种遭遇，对主体化的社会性维度的揭露促使我们在重新定义（艺术？）的尝试中，强调那些装配非生产性工作的组成部分的异质性——族群的，或个人的；我，或Ta者；哪块土地、哪座山，甚或哪片植被、哪只动物……

On the afternoon of March 11, 2020 Geneva time, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that the COVID-19 epidemic can be characterized as a pandemic.

From that time, from the recent past through the present and even to the unforeseeable future, cities and regions have initiated measures such as city closures, stay-at-home social distancing, and non-contact orders, as well as travel restrictions to prevent people from being infected. Spreading in a fierce and tenacious way, the elusive virus seems to outwit human beings. A seemingly powerless science has failed us. Societies, politics, and their narratives are all in peril. Every day, studying and considering the scope of this situation, brings troubling thoughts, unsolved puzzles, or updated ideas about the world to each individual stuck inside -- even including those who intended to be on the sidelines. Increased uncertainty and complexity together have sent away the global normal that was already gone. The rupture of the social-space continuum no longer remains in our imaginations. Contemplating the undifferentiated uncomfortable days that we have all experienced and still endure, this exhibition includes work created consciously by artists based in multiple places in just such an "exceptional state". Compared with being at home, in communities or on screens where actions take place or are demonstrated, a public organization is more of a “second-hand” scene. We might as well tap it and transform it into a follow-up channel or conversion, through which these more daily creations may extend or overflow, so that the continuous thinking during the period will not dissipate. Truth is in the happening itself. Reminding us of a variety of encounters, these "eventual works" expose the social dimension of subjectivity. This prompts us to emphasize the heterogeneity of the components that assemble non-productive work. Whether it is ethnic or individual, about “self” or others; a piece of land, a mountain, a plant, or an animal, these works function as an attempt to redefine art(?).
