　　艺术作品是艺术家的一个载体，艺术家如何对当下生活提出问题和思考，并在现实中诠释自己的价值观。正如亚里士多德说“艺术的目的不是要去表现事物的外貌，而是要去表现事物的内在意义。”

　　本次展览呈现了八位中青年艺术家：白晓刚、康蕾、刘商英、马佳伟、石煜、孙逊、袁元、詹滢在不同艺术方向上的创作成果，集中体现了他们各自新近的艺术思考及表达取向，让他们的作品能够与观众展开对话和交流。尽管艺术家有着相同的社会、政治与文化背景，但他们从不同的角度以不同的方式触碰着这个世界。这些作品充分体现了艺术家对于材料的研究运用与当下社会及文化现象的思考。

　　展览以“谷雨”为题，反映万物因时因地滋长的契机。谷雨过后，禾苗茁壮成长，树木郁郁葱葱，枝繁叶茂，鲜花更加绚丽多彩，彰显着蓬勃向上的生机。

　　A work of art is a carrier of an artist, reflect how artist raise questions and think about the current life and interpret their own values in reality. As Aristotle said, "The purpose of art is not to show the appearance of things, but to show the inner meaning of things."

　　This exhibition presents the creative achivements of eight young and middle-aged aritsts: Bai Xiaogang, Kang Lei, Liu Shangying, Ma Jiawei,  Shi Yu, Sun Xun, Yuan Yuan and Zhan Ying in different artistic directions, which focus on their new aritstic thinking and expression orientation, so that their works can start a dialogue and exchange with the audiences. Although artists share the same social, political and cultural backgrounds, but they touch the world from different perspectives and ways. These works fully reflect the artists' research and application of materials and their reflection on current social and cultural phenomena.

　　"Grain rain" is the theme of the exhibition, reflecting the opportunity for all things to grow in the right circumstances. After the "Grain rain", the seedlings grow sturdily, the trees are luxuriant, and the flowers are more gorgeous and colorful, showing the vigorous and upward vitality.
