在很多人心里，艺术只是风花雪月的消遣。但如果他们见过瞿倩梅的作品恐怕就不会这样想了。

　　5年前，在上海，我第一次见到瞿倩梅的作品。那些被刀劈火燎的巨大树干，那些狂放蛮狠中透出妩媚的综合材料做成的漆画，都重重地震了我一下。美术圈什么时候蹦出这么个大神来的啊？

　　在一个咖啡馆里，我们第一次见面。她竟然很坦率地说起了自己的过去。她本来就不在圈里，是人生的惊涛骇浪把她推到了艺术的草莽中。虽然这时的瞿倩梅已一无所有，但她神情中有着经历过、见识过、担当过才会练就的淡定和坚毅。

　　上帝有时候好像把你逼到了绝境，但实际上是要逼出你潜在的巨大能量，逼着你去做你此生真正的使命。在人生的绝境中，自幼对艺术的挚爱成了她黑暗路途中继续向前的唯一一盏灯火。她从法国回来，在北京开始进修艺术和创作。她一出手就吓了艺术圈一跳。她的作品是那么霸悍有力。她用沉重的钢板当画布，她用枯朽的树木做材料，她像一个工人那样喷涂打磨刺鼻的大漆……

　　自从我第一次见到她和她的作品，我就坚信她会成功。我相信艺术来自有力量的灵魂，无论包裹这个的灵魂的外在经历着怎样的不堪。我相信一个拥有过巨大财富、美好爱情和家庭然后一切又风消云散的人，一个在牢狱中敢于以一己之力承担一切的人，一个失去了一切、见识了诸多事情之后依然眼睛里有着阳光的人，一个世事洞明却还会流露出孩一般羞涩的人，一个人到中年后依然坚信爱情的人，一个本身就像艺术一样感人的人——她如果投身艺术，上帝都会帮她——因为上帝也想看看她会得如何精彩！

　　过了两年，我又在北京与她相见，她在北京近郊有了美好的画室。她的画室分为两个截然不同的区域。生活区洋溢着温馨和浪漫，处处可见她的匠心——连桌子都是她的作品，端上来的咖啡好像散发出巴黎的气息。工作区则完全是一个厂房，连起吊装置都有。她还请我去附近一家有着莫奈花园情调的西餐馆吃饭，那天风轻云淡，我觉得北京的近郊像城市，北京的市区像郊区。

　　她也常来上海，有时候是来见收藏家，有时候是来举办小型的沙龙展。她来，我们也总要见见，一起喝杯茶，吃个饭。也不会谈什么远大的事，就是看到她，看到她做出新的作品，看到有新的藏家喜欢她的作品，看到她办新的展览，我也会像发生在自己身上那样感到高兴。

　　我乐于看到艺术在她身上发生的奇迹，就像艺术史上多次发生的奇迹那样，就像摩西带以色列人走出埃及那样——艺术带人类走出蛮荒，艺术带人类走出禁锢，艺术带人类走出孤独，艺术带人类走出麻木残忍，艺术带人类走出自以为是的狭隘……

　　愿更多祝福给予倩梅，让她艺术灵感的源泉不竭，做得更好更精彩。这可以让更

　　多人因此得到信心，感受到艺术的力量。

Qianmei QU-A Witness of the Power of Arts

　　Arts, is it just a fancy affaire for recreation ? Perhaps,most people think so. However, if they have the chance to see the works of Qianmei QU, they might change their mind.

　　5 years age, in Shanghai, it was my first time to visite the exposition of Qianmei QU. I was impressed, even be shocked by her painting. Burned and broken trunks, strange and crazy material mixed with lacquer.

　　"Who is this geek indeed ? " I was wondering.

　　In a cafe, we met for the first time. To my surprise, Qianmei QU talked about her past at our first meeting. She was a new-comer. She used to be a successful business-woman, a billionaire in France. But the up and down in the worldly life pushed her back into arts. It left her little in material, but it enriched her experience. To see, to reach, and to take what life brings to you. Her bright eyes and soft smile betrayed her admirable poise and perseverance.

　　Sometimes, God would like to play with us. He puts us into a disguised hopeless situation just in order to let us find out our potential by ourselves and to guide us to fulfill our life-long mission. When Qianmei was in desperation, her love to arts becomes her guide to keep her moving forward. She entered into China Central Academy of Fine Arts after her back to Beijing. Her creation is so strong and powerful that she immediately gives the other artists a surprise. Steel plate has been used as cabanas, broken wood as material, she is working as an engineer to spray and to polish the pungent lacquer.

　　Since my first visit to her exposition, I have confidence that Qianmei QU could achieve her laurel in Chinese arts stage. Because it is a powerful soul that gives birth to artistic creation. From a beloved billionaire to a nobody, from a mother to a prisoner, it seems she has lost everything. However, when you look into her bright eyes, when you see her timid smiling, when you hear about her sincere faith of love, you will agree with me without hesitation that she is just an artistic creature of God. If she decides to devote herself to arts, God will help her for sure. Even God wants to see her splendid blossom in arts!

　　Two years later in Beijing, we met for a second time. Qianmei QU had a beautiful studio in the suburb of Beijing then. Her studio has been divided into two areas. The living area is pleasant and romantic, demonstrating her hostess' good taste. Her works have been well presented here, even the table is her creation. And the coffee tastes good. The working area is a workshop. A crane has been installed inside. After visiting her studio, she invited me to a restaurant with Monet Garden. It was fine that day. I seemed to lose my consciousness about the city center of Beijing and the suburb! They are alike, they are beautiful!

　　To visit collectors , or to organise expositions, Qianmei QU comes to Shanghai occasionally. If she comes, we will meet. In a tea bar or at a restaurant, we talk freely. And when I see her, when I look at her new paintings, when I visit her new expositions, when I hear about her new collectors loving her works, I feel sincerely happy for her, just like it happens to myself.

　　It is my pleasure to witness Qianmei QU to create miracles, just as these happened in the history of arts, just like Moses takes the Israelis out of Egypt. Arts guides human beings out of the barbarous; arts takes human beings out of restriction; arts leads human beings out of loneness; arts gets human beings out of indifference and cruelty; and it is arts that brings human beings out of self-centered confine.

　　Bless Qianmei ! Let's safeguard her fountain of creativity and hope for more marvelous creation to come! Her story and her works will give us strength and demonstrate the power of arts.
