日月·SUN AND MOON中西方年轻艺术家作品对话展

近年来，由于各种不同的因素，这一批正在蓬勃发展的年轻艺术家似乎错失了许多与世界互动、展示自我的机会。他们似乎被置身于时差的影响之下，有时被时间的边界所限制，错过了与远方艺术家们的心灵碰撞，错失了外界对他们的发声机会。

而西方与中国之间的文化时差，似乎也是一种寓意。当这片土地的月亮徐徐升起时，彼岸的太阳刚刚开始升腾。这时差常常让中西方的日与月同时存——而有趣的是，在汉字中，“日”与“月”相合成“明”，蕴含着新的明天、新的可能。

在本次作品对话展览中，Huang Contemporary 汇集了来自中西方不同风格的年轻艺术家的作品。这其中一半的作品将来自于西方的年轻艺术家，另一半则由在展览征集中脱颖而出的中国年轻艺术家所创作。通过这些作品，观众将被引导深思当代中西方年轻艺术家在共通和独特之间的平衡，思考如何在不同背景和观念之间创造共鸣。

这次展览将为我们呈现中西方年轻艺术家们视角和创意的面对面真诚对话。在这个过程中，我们或许能够反思，尽管身处不同的文化背景，年轻艺术家们在创作中所追求的灵感和抱负却是如此相似。他们汲取着各自文化的精髓，却又超越了地域的限制，共同探索着人类情感和体验的奥秘。

黄婧怡 Luna Sue Huang

With disruptions to the creative industries over the past few years, these emerging young artists have missed out on many opportunities to engage with the world and showcase their talents. They have been excluded from soulful interactions with artists around the world due to the restraints of time differences, preventing their voices from being heard globally.

The cultural time difference between the West and China also carries a symbolic meaning. As the moon rises gently over this land, the sun on the opposite shore is just beginning to ascend. This time difference often allows for the simultaneous coexistence of day and night between the East and the West. Interestingly, in Chinese characters, the characters for "日" (day) and "月" (moon) combine to form "明" (bright/tomorrow), implying new tomorrows and new possibilities.

In this exhibition of artistic dialogue, Huang Contemporary has brought together works from young artists with distinct styles from both the East and the West. Half of these artworks will come from young artists residing in Western countries such as the UK, Italy, and Colombia, whilst the other half will be formed by young Chinese artists who have stood out in the exhibition open call. Through these works, the audience will be guided to deeply contemplate the balance between commonalities and uniqueness amongst young contemporary artists from both Eastern and Western cultures, and discover how to create resonance amidst diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

This exhibition will present a sincere face-to-face dialogue between young artists from the East and the West, showcasing their perspectives and creative ideas. In this process, we might reflect on the fact that despite being from different cultural backgrounds, the inspirations and aspirations pursued by young artists in their creations are remarkably similar. They draw from the essence of their respective cultures, while transcending geographical limitations, collectively exploring the mysteries of human emotions and experiences.

夏成惟

Chengwei Xia

夏成惟出生在四川成都。在做艺术之前，她曾是一名建筑系学生，毕业后在建筑的研究和设计机构工作了两年。2021年，她来到伦敦，在斯莱德艺术学院学习绘画，获得了绘画硕士学位。目前她在伦敦的皇家绘画学校的The Drawing Year Program学习绘画。

Chengwei Xia was born in Chengdu, Sichuan. Before doing art, she studied architecture and worked in architectural design and research for two years after graduation. In 2021, Chengwei moved to London and studied painting at the Slade School of Fine Art and received Master’s degree in painting from there. Right now, Chengwei is studying drawing in the Drawing Year program at the Royal Drawing School in London.

安吉丽卡·列别杰娃

Anzhelika Lebedeva

安吉丽卡·列别杰娃（1995年生于俄罗斯）现居于意大利亚。她于2012年在俄罗斯莫斯科学院艺术学校开始了她的艺术学习。2020年从佛罗伦萨美术学院版画专业毕业，她还在皇家安特卫普美术学院学习了石版印刷。她的艺术与存在主义主题紧密相关。她的作品探索了自然与人造之间的边界，将观众引导进入一个现实，在这个现实中，每一个行动、手势，甚至是最平凡的事物，都具有关键的意义，而视线则转向内心。

Anzhelika Lebedeva (b.1995, Russia) lives and works in Italy. She began her artistic training in Russia in 2012 at the Moscow Academic Art School . After graduating in 2020 from the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence in Printmaking, she studied lithography at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp.  Her works explore the boundaries between the natural and the artificial, put up the viewer to a reality, where every action, gesture, even the most ordinary, acquire a key meaning, and where the gaze is turned inward.

Dan Qiao

谯丹，1999年生于湖北武汉。本科毕业于湖北美术学院油画系第四工作室，现硕士就读于广州美术学院油画系。她的作品一定程度上没有原始材料，画面大多来自于对一些几乎不存在的空间的自我记忆或者是对熟悉的体量的感觉，通过抽象构图与半形象意象的模糊混合，研究观察表现外部动机和艺术自我分析之间的创造性行为。

Dan Qiao, born in 1999 in Wuhan, Hubei, graduated with a bachelor's degree in Painting from Hubei Institute of Fine Arts. Currently, Dan is pursuing a master's degree in Painting at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. Her works often lack direct source materials, drawing instead from self-memory of nearly non-existent spaces or sensations of familiar forms. By merging abstract compositions with semi-figurative imagery, she explores the creative space between observing external stimuli and artistic self-analysis.

克莱尔·莎士比亚

Claire Shakespeare

克莱尔·莎士比亚1998年出生于英国斯托比奇，于2022年在布莱顿大学获得美术绘画学士学位。她的创作通过对绘画中的即兴和偶然性的探索，捕捉了日常体验。她举办过两次个展，包括目前在德文郡联合画廊的个展“摇摆膝盖”和2022年在伦敦菲茨罗维亚画廊的个展“正面舞者”。

Claire Shakespeare born 1998, Stourbridge, UK completed a BA in Fine Art Painting at University of Brighton in 2022. Their practice captures the everyday experience through an investigation of improvisation and chance within painting. Shakespeare has had two solo shows including their current solo 'Wobbly Knee' with Devonshire Collective, Eastbourne and  'Frontal Dancer'  at the Fitzrovia Gallery, London in 2022.

Muxue Qiu

邱暮雪 , 1997年生于湖北 ， 湖北美术学院2021级研究生，高级心理咨询师，河北省青年美术家协会会员,作品曾多次在北京（798画廊）、上海、天津、武汉、成都等多地进行展出，并被北京、武汉、上海、佛山等地藏家收藏，现生活创作于武汉。

Muxue Qiu, born in 1997 in Hubei. Graduated as a postgraduate from Hubei Institute of Fine Arts. A member of the Hebei Youth Artists Association. Her works have been exhibited multiple times in various cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Wuhan, Chengdu, and others. Currently based in Wuhan, she continues to create her art.

Jack McGarrity

杰克·麦加里蒂在格拉斯哥艺术学院完成了学士学位，随后完成了皇家绘画学院的研究生绘画年课程。他的作品曾参加过众多群展，今年还在伦敦Messums画廊举办了个展。在皇家绘画学院，他获得了丹尼斯·马洪爵士奖，并获得了在佛罗伦萨和马德里学习的奖学金。他的作品被收藏于私人和公共收藏中，包括皇家收藏和皇家苏格兰艺术学院。

McGarrity completed his BA at The Glasgow School of Art and then went on to complete the postgraduate Drawing Year Course at The Royal Drawing School. His work has been part of numerous group shows and this year a solo show at Messums London. At the Royal Drawing School he was awarded the Sir Dennis Mahon Award and has also received scholarships to study in Florence and Madrid. McGarrity's work is included in both private and public collections, including The Royal Collection and the Royal Scottish Academy.

Qianyu Wu

吴千宇，1999年出生于湖北 ，2021年本科毕业于湖北美术学院时尚艺术学院，2022年研究生就读于湖北美术学院艺术教育学院。他的艺术是对当下生活的一种纯粹表达，透过画面营造外部世界与内心情感的秩序平衡，是对自我的一种治愈力量。

Qianyu Wu was born in Hubei in 1999. They graduated with a bachelor's degree in Fashion Art from Hubei Institute of Fine Arts in 2021. In 2022, they began their master's studies in Art Education at Hubei Institute of Fine Arts. His art is a pure expression of contemporary life, creating a balance between the external world and inner emotions through his paintings, serving as a healing force for the self.

胡安·弗朗科

Juan Franco

胡安·弗朗科出生于哥伦比亚博哥大（1995年）。他在博哥大哈维安娜大学学习视觉艺术。他是图形艺术工作室“Obra negra”（2016-2020）的联合创始人。在2022年，他在博哥大“Guerrero艺术学院”举办的全国绘画沙龙中获得第三名。目前，他正在创作一系列探索他的潜意识世界及其符号的绘画作品。

Juan Sebastian Franco was born in Bogotá, Colombia (1995). He studied visual arts at the Javeriana University in Bogotá. He was the co-founder of the Graphics art Atelier "Obra negra" (2016-2020). In 2022 he was the 3rd place winner of the national painting salon organized by the "Academia de artes guerrero" Bogotá. Currently he is working on a series of paintings that explore his subconscious world and its symbols.

Shijie Zhang

张师杰，2015至2019年就读于湖北美术学院油画系表现性绘画工作室，现于湖北美术学院油画系就读研究生一年级。他将他的创作建立于个人体验的阐述上，并致力于打破个人叙述的局限。

Shijie Zhang studied in the Expressive Painting Studio of the Oil Painting Department at Hubei Institute of Fine Arts from 2015 to 2019. He is currently a first-year graduate student in the Oil Painting Department at Hubei Institute of Fine Arts. His creative approach is based on the expression of personal experiences, and he is dedicated to breaking the limitations of individual narratives.

露西尔·哈夫林格

Lucile Haefflinger

露西尔·哈夫林格（1996年生）出生于法国。她小时候经常与泥土和树叶为伴。2019年毕业于阿姆斯特丹格里特·里特维尔德学院。绘画是她实践的根本，她在2019-21年间参加了伦敦皇家绘画学校的研究生绘画年课程。她从回忆和观察中进行绘画和雕塑创作。她捕捉逃逸的记忆和情感，表达了在与周围环境和其他非人类存在的关系中，体验自己的身体所带来的疏离感。

Lucile Haefflinger (1996) was born in France. Lucile later studied Textile and Text at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, graduating in 2019. Drawing being at the root of their practice, Lucile took part in the post-graduate drawing year at the Royal Drawing School in London during 2019-21. They paint and sculpt from memories and observation. They feel an urge to contain escaping memories and feelings. They express the alienation of experiencing their own body in relation to their surroundings and other non-human beings.

Yifang Zheng

郑一方，1996 年 12 月出生于江西南昌。2019年毕业于湖北美术学院油画系获学士学位，2020 年毕业于伦敦艺术大学坎伯韦尔艺术学院纯艺绘画系获硕士学位。现工作生活于上海。他的画中通常有一些奇形怪状的图像，这些形状挑战人感官的熟悉和陌生的边界，人们在观看时会同时调动自己的意识与无意识的经验。

Yifang Zheng was born in December 1996 in Nanchang, Jiangxi. In 2019, he graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Hubei Institute of Fine Arts with a bachelor's degree, and in 2020, he graduated from the MA Fine Art Painting program at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London, with a master's degree. He currently lives and works in Shanghai. His paintings often feature unconventional and peculiar images that challenge the boundaries between familiarity and strangeness in human perception. When people view them, they simultaneously engage their conscious and unconscious experiences.

Lucy Gogoliuk

露西·戈戈留克毕业于爱丁堡大学的美术硕士课程，并获得了伦敦皇家绘画学校绘画年课程的资格。她对绘画和素描的物理过程充满兴趣：痕迹的创造、色彩和表面的处理。她以日常生活中美丽而古怪的细节为出发点，突显记忆、感知和视觉语言的作品特点。

Lucy Gogoliuk is a graduate of the MA Fine Art programme at the University of Edinburgh and has now been awarded a place on The Drawing Year at the Royal Drawing School in London. She is interested in the physical process of painting and drawing: mark-making, colour, and surface. Gogoliuk takes the beautiful and bizarre minutiae of everyday life as a starting point for work that foregrounds memory, perception and visual language.

Yuchen Liu

刘宇晨，1998年，陕西西安人，现就读于西安美术学院油画艺术表达硕士学位。创作灵感思路主要来源于自己对于生活的抽象感受，以具象的方式表达出来。在作品中喜好具有一定的“设计感”与绘画表现的方式将其融合到其中。创作材料主要以油画、丙烯颜料为主，也使用各种综合材料创作与探索。

Yuchen  Liu, born in 1998 in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Expressive Oil Painting at Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts. His creative inspiration is largely derived from his abstract perceptions of life, which he expresses in a representational manner. He enjoys incorporating a certain "design sense" and painting techniques into his works. The primary mediums he uses for his creations are oil paint and acrylic pigments, while also exploring and experimenting with various mixed media materials.

Siomha Harrington

西欧玛·哈林顿，1997年生于都柏林，今年夏天毕业于布莱顿大学获得美术绘画学士学位。她的作品曾参展于皇家艺术院夏季展览、ING Discerning Eye等，同时还在布莱顿多次举办展览，目前她定居在布莱顿。她的绘画探索权力动态和自我认知主题， 大多是具象的，人物被用作象征或原型，而不是代表任何个体。

Siomha Harrington, born in 1997 in Dublin, graduated this summer from the University of Brighton with a BA in Fine Art Painting. She has had work in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions, the ING Discerning Eye and multiple exhibitions in Brighton where she is currently based. Harringtons paintings explore themes of power dynamics and self-perception. Her paintings are mostly figurative, though the figure is used as a symbol or an archetype, rather than representing any individual.

Yurou Qian

钱雨柔，生于1998 ，是一个中国艺术家以及女权主义者，现居伦敦。2020年本科毕业于四川美术学院，出版媒介设计专业；2022年研究生毕业于伦敦艺术大学坎伯韦尔艺术学院，插画专业。她致力于探索和扩展插画与别的学科之间的可能性和边界，拥抱跨学科交流的复杂性和多样性。她的作品反映了她作为一个女性对其身份与自然、景观、生活环境之间关系的认知和联系。

Yurou Qian(b.1998) is a Chinese artist, a feminist currently based in London, graduated from the Sichuan Fine Art Institute in Publishing-media and Design in 2020, and then completed the MA in Illustration at the University of the Arts London in 2022. She is dedicated to investigating the possibilities and boundaries of illustration, embracing the complexity and diversity of the interdisciplinary discourse of communication. Her works reflect her perspective as a human being on the relationship between human and nature, landscape, living environment.

Van Tran

范·陈2000年生于越南河内，是一位多媒体抽象艺术家，他的作品主要关注人类的相互联系。他利用对不同媒介和作品的理解及其优势，创造出新鲜独特的视觉诠释。出身于混合文化背景，范以隐喻的方式表达了他内心在适应新文化和渴望与人们连接与和谐之间的经历。他相信每个人都有独特的本质，他试图通过颜色来捕捉这一点。他希望通过色彩来表现个体的微妙变化，以此方式来保留和尊重那些无法重复的共存时刻。

Born in 2000 in Hanoi, Vietnam, Van Tran is a multimedia abstract artist who focuses primarily on human interconnectivity in his work. He uses his understanding of different mediums and works and their strengths to create a fresh and unique visual interpretation. With a mixed cultural background, Van metaphorically expresses his inner experience of adapting to a new culture and the desire to connect and harmonise with people.

Zoey Hu

胡卓彦（十白，b.1999）是一位多媒体艺术家，她出生在四川成都，现居伦敦。她于2023年取得了英国皇家艺术学院视觉传达专业的硕士学位。她的作品创造出一个交杂插画，动态影像与身体剧场的多元世界，她把这称为“动态切片”。她用自我民族志（autoethnography）的方法关注在地的酷儿叙事和符号隐喻：被忽视的亚洲女性&酷儿俱乐部，被解构的民族语言，亲密关系之间永远无法互相理解的交流的暴力。她用图像创作和身体剧场向权威抗衡，追求真诚，细腻，和脆弱的力量。

Zoey Hu (Allwhite,b.1999) is a multidisciplinary artist born in Chengdu, China and now based in London. She got her Master's degree in Visual Communication from the Royal College of Art.  Through visual artistry and dance performance, she challenges authority, aims for honesty, delicacy, and the strength of fragility.

Zoe Aczel

佐伊·阿兹尔1998年出生于的匈牙利布达佩斯。在艺术家庭背景下长大，绘画成为她主要的表达方式。她的首次个展于2014年在匈牙利布达佩斯的Rododendron艺术画廊举行。2015年，她搬到了英国。2020年，她在布莱顿大学学习艺术绘画学位。在她的二年级学习期间，佐伊参与了“融合”的群展。

Zoe Aczel was born in Hungary, Budapest in 1998. Growing up within a creative environment, painting emerged as her primary mode of expression. Her inaugural solo exhibition took place at Rododendron Art Gallery, Budapest in 2014. In 2015, she moved to the UK. By 2020, she embarked on a journey of pursuing a Fine Art Painting Degree at the University of Brighton. During her second year of studies, Zoe actively participated in the group exhibition titled "Coalescence."
