Green bamboos grow on the fertile soil, so they appear healthy and comely. Pines and cypresses grow from the crevices of the rock, so they are dogged and tough. They are all decided by environment. It's the environment that gives their various shapes and brings up their diverse fates. They live in their respective world and create their own splendidness. If I had never experienced the death of my mother and the following leaving of my father in my childhood, leaving us three sisters living with my widow grandmother, I think it won't be who I am today. Seeing my grandmother raise us three alone with huge difficulties, I hid my femininity and became tough. Since 8 or 9 years old I've already been able to pull the water bucket from the deep well and to carry poles on my shoulder. I was also good at spinning and weaving, housework and farmwork. Under the condition without oxen and horses, I had to work as hard as a boy. Having no single complaint and sorrow, I made myself a strong body. But who understands that if it was not the early death of my mother and the leaving of my father, I would also be a tender and lovely girl like moon. However the fact is the environment won't change as my heart so that all I can do is practice myself to adapt to the real environment. My grandmother did well at everything like embroidery and weaving with her adroit heart and hands. I learned from her so that I usually stayed up all night weaving hundreds of cloths. Thus several years of hard work brings me a strong character that no matter what happens I always face it with full courage. Of course children all have ambitious dreams deep inside including me. For me the poor environment can't prevent my passionate heart for dreams and my curiosity for the outside world, so I did all the work at the same time kept studying constantly. With the praises of villagers and the company of the rain and snow, the sun, the moon and the stars, I've long kept being diligent. Yet they aren't fulfilled all my dreams, but I've already been so brave and strong that I will be able to face everything in my life.
