Ting Huan has ever commented his senior sister apprentice that，"Sister Chen Wei is a miraculous woman. She is capable   and intelligent, and treats others greathearted， the same style as her paintings."
　　Where Chen Wei stands out from others, in my opinion, is that she has a very good talent and full of ambition, what's more, she likes learning from others. In the ancient times a person once said that "a person who has excellent talent must be modest." Actually it's not hard to understand what does it mean by 'it's the emptiness that makes bells and drums beaten and Sheng&Yu make a sound'. She deeply knows that seeking for knowledge is beneficial while laziness brings harm, so she opens her pocket for the seeking for self-exploration on the artistic road as well as for the social knowledge fortune. She is never idle and tired.
　　In her hometown Hebei province, she listened to the teachings of her early mentor about the philosophy of Yi, the principles of aesthetic, the analyses of classical literary theories and the art of stone rubbings, feeling the regulars of using ink and drawing, during which she read over a lot of classical books.
　　She understands it that things will be hopeless if they are blocked, instead they'll go smoothly; it will stay downside if depressed, rising instead. Therefore she keeps on asking the wise men for learning actively, even resolutely headed for Beijing for the further study under the condition of the economy not allowed without hesitation, money borrowed though. In Beijing still she kept listening to the instructions of the masters like Li Baolin, Fan Yang, Hu Yingkang and so on tirelessly. During the period when she studied in Chinese Paintings Research Institute, she did her best to broaden her horizon and absorbed new nutrition from the long river of painting.
　　She has also been to west for Gansu, south for Shandong, visiting the culture of Linyi Museum, Jiaxiang Museum and Qingzhou Museum, as well as the famous scholars like Sang Yuhou, Cao Jianguo and Wang Bao'an and so on for learning the culture of Han and Tang dynasty to edify herself through the cognition of ancient bronze wares, famous tombstones and stone bricks with Han portraits.
　　She made copies of every single Chinese character that has been magnified into the size of a Chinese feet square and posted them on every area of the wall in the house where she lived. Besides, she put those delicate original rubbings with Han portraits on the desk for reading them over and over again day and night.
　　For several years she has always been pursuing the painting qualities of "pure, quiet, delicate and subtle" carefully, together with the colleagues of the Society of Cultural Digestion sedulously.
　　She has kept perfecting herself with the pure internal cultivation.
　　She has been enriching herself with the thoughts of longitude and the outstanding drawing languages of latitude.
　　Therefore when reading her works, you can always feel the lasting charm of the various ink paintings. Sometimes it exudes a majestic exuberance, sometimes it just stays there quietly but also full of subtleties, and sometimes it amazes all of the nature with its contagious vigor.
　　'A person who is diligent and modest will eventually gain the luck.' No wonder that after the famous painter Fan Yang saw her works he pleasantly commented that"Chen Wei's paintings, which shows the pure elegance, remind me of Ma He of Song Dynasty, which deserve appreciating for second times."
