在秦蓁新作《玉兰花》系列作品中，玉兰这种落叶乔木转化为艺术家表达内心感受的媒介，成为承载艺术家个体生存感受的见证物。在民间传说中，玉兰寓意“报恩”，这源自“玉兰”三姐妹拯救黎民、被变为玉兰树的民间传说。一种植物变为艺术家作品主题的时候，它就已经不仅是原来的本体，而是具有生命寓意的特殊媒介。

　　在秦蓁的创作中，采用寓意的方式表达生存体验，是一种惯用的方式，这集中表现在她的风景画、静物画中。无论是风景画中的山、水，还是静物画中的各种日常器物，秦蓁都赋予了强烈的主观色彩。这些她可以投射主观感受，栖居日常精神的本体，都在她充满浓烈情感的色彩之中燃烧。基于秦蓁宽阔的心胸、浓烈的情感、肥沃的女性母体、娇艳的青春花季之上的这些作品，让我触动和感怀，作品中潜藏的热情和执著，显露出来的气象与品质，昭示了这位艺术家的艺术才情，预示着这位年轻艺术家的未来诸多可能性。

　　秦蓁在绘画中一如既往地使用艳丽、浓烈、跳跃且奔放的色彩，画面的笔触情绪化、主观化，落笔奔放、肯定，景、物在被表现的同时，又被离析和分解。她对色彩的执着追求，让人感觉到她骨子里面的浪漫和天真;她对表现对象的瓦解和重组，又使人意识到她的冷静和深沉。在面对景、物一种近乎宗教的虔诚中，她在表现对象的世界中沉醉、游走，将个体的领悟与表现对象的物性相融合，在彰显表现对象物性的同时，以色彩赋予其一种“燃烧”的奇观。在这样的燃烧中，表现对象被热度所温暖，艺术家在与对象的晤对神通中，走入一个人化的世界，这一世界又转而具体化为艺术家的作品。

　　秦蓁的创作正在路上，历经洗练，时下的“燃烧”又会以怎样一种方式出现?从而形成对象世界和作品世界之间的另外一种呼应?这是我所期待的，这也是她要解决的。
