亦安画廊 | 夏晶心个展“12/12+1/365+2209.16”


亦安画廊荣幸地宣布,将于2018年10月20日(本周六)至11月10日推出艺术家夏晶心个展“12/12+1/365+2209.16”,展览名称取自艺术家三个系列作品:12/12:是艺术家每月对于天空的记录再创作的作品,1/365:为艺术家对365天中5月22日这一天的天空图片转译,2209.16:即weight/g:2209.16 是展出中所有玻璃碎片的总重量。展览定于20日下午3时开幕,欢迎大家前来观展!


夏晶心是一位中国80后女性艺术家,属于伴随着中国改革开放、经济崛起成长的那一辈人。这一辈的成长过程经历了生产力媒介的变化。信息化和反复的城市基础建设所带来的问题已经充斥在各种信息终端,作为视觉艺术家,发现和揭露问题已经是过去的课题了,如何探索解决之道才是当下的关键。


夏晶心的答案是:概念、抽象、简约。


日常生活由点点滴滴的具象事物组成,随着时光的流逝,记忆与思绪似乎转化成了抽象的绵延。夏晶心的艺术以具象为元素,抽象为方法,表现为目的,通过美学的设计和哲学的构成,展现了生活与生命之间的关系。


她的视角基于生活微观,又用宏观的形式表现出了生命的符号和思维的轨迹。简练的色彩与线条,体现了艺术家对自我与社区之间关系的思考与讨论。极简的是交流的光谱,而具象的是人类交流基因的代码。


夏晶心在创作形式上看似刻意安排,却给人以自然之感,无常的设计元素,偏又用有序的方法组合,艺术的矛盾性与讽刺性也更进一步地深化。当然,艺术家的初衷也许是更为单纯的,评论者的繁缛的文字反而会使观众感到困惑,艺术品与观众之间的美妙互动才是艺术家所希望看到的。

Xia Jingxin is a female artist born in the 1980s. She belongs to the generation growing in a much opener and economically advancing China. In this era, the media of productivity has changed rapidly. Issues caused by informatisation and the repeated construction have become prevalent in all kinds of information terminals. As a visual artist, discovering and exposing problems is not enough to fulfil the social role, the crucial point lays in addressing the issues.


Xia Jingxin ’s answer is: the conceptual, abstract and minimalist.


The daily life consists of concrete occurrence; and when time lapses, memories and emotions seem to turn into an abstract continuum. Xia Jingxin ’s art utilises concrete images as the initial elements and abstract as the method, and expressing ideas is her aim. She re-contextualised the pictures via aesthetic and

philosophical design, and illustrated the relationship between life and being.


Her view is based on the microscopic, and transformed the trace of ideas and symbols of life in macroscopic forms. The minimalist lines and colours could demonstrate her thinking is stressing on the relationship between the individual and the communal. Minimalism for her represents the spectrum of communication, whereas concrete images are the code of genes for communication.


It appears that her way of creating art is deliberate; nevertheless all come into being naturally – her design is based on randomness, albeit principles and orders are discernable. The irony and paradox in art, therefore, have deepened. The initial idea of the artist could be much simpler than what the critics textualised above. The viewers should be feeling more comfortable, regardless of the text, as the artist sincerely wishes the audience and her work are in beautiful and interactive engagement.
