The highly anticipated Design Shanghai celebrates its 7th year from 26th – 29th November 2020 at its brand new venue: the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center. Welcoming 70,000 professionals and visitors over four days, Design Shanghai will showcase more than 500 local and international brands from 30 countries and regions, never-before-seen installations, and the thought-provoking design forums.

年度亚洲国际设计盛会“设计上海”宣布将于2020年11月26至29日于上海世博展览馆举行，为 500 多个来自 30 余个国家和地区的参展品牌和超过70,000 名专业人士及观众提供独特的设计和创意互动交流平台。本届“设计上海”将展示国内外创意设计品牌及其新品发布，展会同期还将呈现特别策划的设计装置、大师云集的设计论坛和众多启迪创意灵感的设计活动，丰富展会内容的同时，携手传递精致奢美的设计美学。

With the increasing number of global exhibitors and visitors, in just six years Design Shanghai has fast become an unmissable event in the design calendar, further strengthening China's position as a key emerging design market. For the 2020 edition, Design Shanghai will take place in the landmark Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center in Pudong District, increasing the overall exhibition area by 40% since last year.

随着全球参展品牌和历届观展人数的逐年增多，“设计上海”于短短六年时间便跻身大型国际性设计展之列，进一步强化了中国作为重要设计市场的标杆地位。“设计上海”的展会规模不断扩充，2020 年将整体移师至浦江东岸的国际性展览场地——上海世博展览馆举行，使本届“设计上海”的展会面积相较去年大幅增加 40%。

"In terms of design and creativity, the Asian market, especially the Chinese market, has been booming in recent years," said Zhuo Tan, director of design Shanghai. “As an important annual design event in Asia, design Shanghai has become one of the major design events in the global design calendar, showcasing not only the standards of global design, but also the dynamic power of new design in China. We are very pleased that Design Shanghai will be expanded to a higher level. In keeping with the high standard and international vision of the exhibition over the past six years, we are committed to bringing in more international design brands, galleries and designers from home and abroad to inject a new look into design Shanghai for the first time."

There are two new sections––Objects & Accessories and Talents––in addition to Contemporary Design, Classic & Luxury, Kitchen & Bathroom, Workplace, New Materials and Applications.

“设计上海”2020展区扩增至七大板块，包括当代设计、精典设计、厨卫设计、办公设计、新材料及应用，以及今年新增的配饰设计和 Talents 展区。

The new Accessories and Objects section will showcase cutting-edge standalone pieces by brands including L’Objet, Nude, Revol, Umasqu, Robert Welch, and Gommaire.

“设计上海”今年特设“配饰设计馆”，把国外优秀、前沿的精美配饰设计作品带到中国。目前的参展品牌包括 Nude、Revol、Umasqu、Robert Welch、L'Objet 和 Gommaire 等。

The boundaries between art, craft and design have become increasingly blurred. In this context, industrial designer Chen Min presents "Neobject" to showcase works by artists, craftspeople, designers, brands and pioneers in various fields that challenge the definitions of art, craft and design.

“配饰设计馆”的亮点之一是工业设计师陈旻初次亮相“设计上海”的 Neobject。全新登场 2020 年“设计上海”的“新开物Neobject”展区以「融合边界，显隐之间」为空间主题，设计师运用规则几何形态，结合半遮挡材料，在“显”与“隐”之间柔和的区隔展品，赋予每一件展品被深度观看的空间；为观众带去具有流动性与节奏感的观展体验。

“Talents” is a new initiative and special exhibition area dedicated to supporting young designers from China, Asia and all over the world. The mission behind “Talents” is to provide emerging designers with a platform to showcase their work to both an international and local market. 

全新的「设计上海」2020 Talents 区，旨在扶持年轻设计师发展，致力于打造一个既国际化又符合本土市场的实际解决方案。2020年是「设计上海」的全新篇章，场馆乔迁上海世博展览馆，为我们年轻的设计师们打造一个更大的舞台。我们希望有更多的人关注设计新势力、有更多的年轻设计师们加入到我们中来、为设计行业不断输送新鲜血液。

The Design Shanghai Forum theme this year is Design Completes the Circle, with both Chinese and international speakers who are working towards a circular economy with mindful design. Li Xiang of X-Living, Jamy Yang of YANG HOUSE, Steven Smit of MVRDV and Lyla Wu of Neuni Group are among the speakers on-site. Chi Wing Lo, Philippe Starck, Kelly Hoppen, Barber Osgerby and Studio Lotus will be sharing their thoughts via pre-recorded videos.  

“科勒精选 x 设计上海”国际设计论坛是每年吸引设计从业人员专程前来聆听的知名行业论坛。为期四天的论坛以“从循环设计到循环经济”为主题，将有 80 多位享誉全球的设计大师轮番登台演讲。演讲嘉宾包括知名华裔设计师卢志荣 Chi Wing Lo、法国设计大师 Philippe Starck、工业设计大师 Ross Lovegrove、英伦明星御用设计师 Kelly Hoppen、 唯想国际 X+Living 创始人李想、YANG HOUSE 创始人杨明洁、MVRDV 亚洲总监、建筑师 Steven Smit、上海连联设计集团总裁吴迪等。全球的创意先锋将于现场分享他们的设计观点，为大家呈现一场精彩绝伦的思想碰撞。
