看似没有立场的立场

  卢西安•弗洛伊德(Lucian Freud)曾说:“我画这些人,不是因为他们像什么,而是因为他们偶然所成的样子。”

  刘小东曾说:“我只画工厂工人能看到的东西。”

  张伟说:“我画的是我教了三年的学生,我对他们非常熟悉。”

  面对艺术创作,这些艺术家们都不约而同的选择了描绘真实生活。真实是什么?或许就是生活中的点滴细节,或许就是那么一点别人不曾注目的东西。张伟的关注点不在于崭新的形式也不在于观念的武器,而是在以一种冷静的近乎于旁观者的角度坦陈真实生活。

  在张伟的许多作品中,人物与背景的关系间基本消除了中间过渡空间。或者说就是没有场景,去掉了背景。在这里创作者刻意使得作品没有任何故事情节,使得所描绘对象呈现为一种孤立状态,同时也使得所描绘对象真正成为了画面的中心与主体,对象的形象愈加强烈,而这也正是作者最关注的东西。作者的这种处理可以说是一种简化,而实际上对象本身已经足够复杂,需要的就是如实的记录。张伟作品中所呈现的对象都十分具体,人物的相貌、形态、衣着、装束都还原真实,这是一种非常贴近现实的视角。这种视角本身就极具当代意识,类似于一种未来的考古学。这是一种记录,一个关于人物状态的记录,一本视觉的日记,艺术家在记录生活的同时也展现了对世界的看法。

  张伟的生活所及,自然地构成了他的绘画世界,画的对象无论是人物还是风景都会做到直面对象,正如画家自己所言:“我相信任何景物都只有在先感动了自己的前提下,有这个冲动去把它画出来,才有可能会打动观者,产生共鸣。”写生显然是一个能抓住瞬间冲动与感动的最好方式,其中必然会出现很多偶然性。但经过大量作品的磨炼,张伟的直接画法运用已经得心应手,下笔即是造型,塑造即是对物象的真切感受。

  对于张伟的“写生”,批评家杨小彦曾有过如此评价:“有一天,张伟突然发现,青春根本就不是一个主题,而是一个真实得不能再真实的具体对象。他发现,与其继续创造,不如重返这一对象,用最原始、最简单、也最为直截了当的方式,写生,来重新寻找青春的含义。”

  “青春”或许是作为美院附中老师的张伟最容易切入的一个主题。但这或许只是他艺术生涯中的一个阶段,张伟的绘画创作已然形成了其个人的工作方法:画的是熟悉的东西,用的是直接的手法,而他正是要在这种熟悉中寻找客观的陌生,用绘画来还原真实的世界。在艺术的边界越来越模糊的当下,综合的艺术形式对绘画产生了巨大冲击,张伟持之以恒的在绘画中的探索非常难能可贵。或许有人会觉得写生不足以表达立场,而张伟就是以写生这种手段来表达自己看似没有立场的立场。

 

  The Position,Which Seems to Lack of Standpoint.

  Lucian Freud has ever said,“ Those people that I have drawn are not what they look like but what they occasionally form . ”

  Liu Xiaodong has ever said,“ I only draw what the workers can see in the factories. ”

  Zhang Wei says,“ I draw the students who I have taught for three years,and I am very familiar with them. ”...

  Confronted with art creations,those artists all happened to coincide to choose to describe the real sense in life.What is the realities?Perhaps it is a few daily details ,or something that are ignored by others.The focus of Zhang Wei is neither in the brand-new forms nor ideal weapon ,but it is to narrate the real life in a almost calm standby-er attitude.

  In plenty of Zhang Wei ’works,the middle transition space is eliminated between figures and background.In other words,there is no scene and background. There is not any plots with his painstaking design,which presents an isolated condition for the the objects and enables them to become the center and main body in the paints.All that are the most important part which the author focuses on.It is a simplification that the author adopts to paint,while the objects themselves are so complicate that it ought to be recorded as what they are. What are displayed in Zhang Wei’s works are so concrete.He makes up a realistic scene in the appearance of the figures,their poses ,clothes and costume ,which is very close to the real perspective.This perspective itself is full of modern consciousness,and similar to future archaeology.It is a sort of record,which is for figures condition.It is a visual diary ,which exhibits the artist’ s life record as well as his views with regards to the world.

  Zhang Wei’s life experiences naturally make up his painting world,thus what he has drawn in figures or landscapes can be directly faced with.As what the painter himself says:“ I hold the idea that one will feel an urge to paint something only to touch oneself first, which might arouse viewers' feelings and resonate. ”Obviously,sketch is the best way to catch the instantaneous impulse and touch,and there is no doubt that some contingencies may take place .After a large number of practicing, Zhang Wei paints with great facility in a direct painting method,drawing ,in other world,means model;mounding is the true feeling for the objects.

  In terms of Zhang Wei’s sketch,Yang Xiaoyan, the critic,has ever made an appraisal ,“ One day,Zhang Wei suddenly found that youth was absolutely not a theme but it was a concrete object that nothing could be more real than that .He found that he would like to create continually rather than return to the objects by the simplest and directest way to sketch and resume the meaning of youth . ”

  Youth may be the easiest theme to cut to for Zhang Wei, the teacher in the Affiliated High School of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts .It is possibility to be a step for him in his art career.Zhang Wei ’ creation has formed his own character:painting what he is familiar with by direct method,and he will explore objective strangeness in these familiar sense to return the real world by painting.Nowadays,the art edge is increasingly ambiguous, and it is valuable for Zhang Wei to persistently explore in drawing under the huge crash from the complex artistic form to paint.Perhaps some people might voice that sketch is not enough to run for a position,while Zhang Wei expresses his position by sketch ,which seems to lack of standpoint.
