Ng Chung enjoys considerable popularity in Hong Kong, meanwhile, his "Wine bottle series" attracts the attention of collectors all over the world. He is named "the Lan Kwai Fong painter" by critics and is firmly believed by Allan Zeman, the father of Lan Kwai Fong, as the "shinning star of Hong Kong art circle".
Ng Chung's persistent personality contributes a great deal to his success in art. The 10-year working and living experience around Lan Kwai Fong is especially an essential element of his art, which brings him a unique perception of the obsessional nighttime life of Lan Kwai Fong. In an ordinary man's opinion, a wine bottle will never be the object of painting, however, Ng Chung successfully grants them indescribable beauty.
By the virtue of these wine bottles, the artist releases the inner voice of his soul; by the virtue of these wine bottles, Lan Kwai Fong transforms from a geographical destination for pubs and bars to a spiritual documentary of the great artist-Ng Chung.
