自2001年进入中央美术学院材料与表现研究生班之后她就一直在尝试罩染及色彩泼洒等的材料表现法，在实验过程中，中国传统的意象表现形式中的轻松明快给予很大的启发，画面中将东西方的材料技法加以结合后再加重新表现。先将画面层层填积加以罩染之后再次随形泼彩，释放出了异样灿烂的光辉，并获得了更为清新绮丽与气韵生动的效果，泼彩而成的天空彩云看似随意实为精细策划而出的，使得整个画面显得更加的气韵生动与更加显大气磅礴。

　　泼墨或泼彩为中国水墨的创作的一种墨法，古已有之。《唐朝名画录》即载有王洽，以墨泼纸素，脚蹴手抹，随其形状为石、为云、为水，应手随意，图出云霞，染成风雨，宛若神巧，俯视不见其墨污之迹。继有米芾“米氏云山”的“信笔作之”宋代禀性疏野的梁楷的泼墨画，特别如他的《泼墨仙人》明代李日华《竹嬾画媵》：“泼墨者用墨微妙，不见笔迹，如泼出耳。”清代沈宗骞《芥舟学画编》：“墨曰泼墨，山色曰泼翠，草色曰泼绿，泼之为用，最足发画中气韵。”后世指笔酣墨饱，或点或刷，水墨淋漓，气势磅礴，皆谓之“泼墨”。现代亦有以彩色为主的纵笔豪放的画法称为“泼彩”。

　　以泼洒的彩云的方式以描绘她家乡小时候生长的地方，扎龙位于黑龙江松嫩平原乌裕尔河下游的芦苇沼泽之中，每年都有数以万计的鸟类在此停歇、繁衍，这里堪称中国种类和数量最多也是世界鹤类最丰富的地区之一。扎龙湿地景观壮丽为《中国国家地理》评选为中国最美的六大湿地之一，夏季，蓝天、白云、红日之下，绿色的芦苇随风飘摇，浩浩荡荡、直接天边，一块块的“水泡子”如明镜般散落在一片翠色中，水面上开满了水浮萍的淡黄花朵，时有羽翼丰美的珍禽展翅划过；冬天，皑皑白雪掩映大地，天地一派安祥纯净，在一轮红日的温暖照耀下，美丽的鹤舞会令人顿觉如入画卷。

　　She has been experimenting with the expression of covering dye and splashing color since 2001 in graduate school at the Central Academy of Fine Arts where she studied Material and Performance. During her experiments, the refreshing lightness in Chinese traditional image forms gave her great inspiration. She re-expressed the new discovery after combining eastern and western techniques. First she would dye the painting layer after layer, and then splash the color again. This causes the whole painting to release a brilliant light, creating a more pure, fresh, beautiful and lively effect. Her sky and clouds splashed with colors freely yet carefully, making the whole picture appear more spirit-resonance and powerful.
　　Splashing ink or splashing color is an ancient way of ink painting in China. Tang Chao Ming Hua Lu had recorded Wang Qia splashing ink in paper, then he used his feet and hands to daub the ink, which formed stone, cloud and water, just like an inspired passage, you can not see the ink pollution with a quick glance. Just like Mi Fu’s “cloud and mountain of Mi Fu and his son” and Liang Kai’s splashing ink painting, especially his immortal splashing ink painting. “Jie Zhou Xue Hua Bian” by Sheng Chongqian in Qing Dynasty said splashing ink of different forms uses different quantity of ink, the key is that splashing depicts the spirit of painting. Now ink splashing is more commonly used for paintings, sometimes using colors to splash instead, but the paintings grasps the spirit of the history vividly.
　　Muse Dong paints colored clouds by splashing ink to show her hometown Zhalong where she lived as a child. Zhalong is a reed swamp located downstream of Wuyuer River in Heilongjiang Province. Each year there are tens of thousands of birds staying there, resting and multiplying, home to one of the most abundant kinds of cranes in China and the rest of the world. The magnificent landscape of Zhalong wetland is called one of the most beautiful wetland in Chinese six landscapes by China National Geographic. During the summer, there are blue skies, white clouds, bright red sun, green reeds swaying in the wind, vast and might, reaching towards the sky. Pieces of water bulb just like a mirror light scatter over the surface of the river, portrays a jade world. There are yellow flowers filled with water while rare birds fly cross the sky. During winter, snow covers the earth; the whole world shows peace and quiet. The red sun shines, the beautiful crane dances, making you feel like a part of the painting.
