董春凤的作品画得很感性,所以,我揣度她的为人也很感性。她最近的一批新作品大致可以分成四种类型。一是她对家乡景色的片段式的记忆;二是一组城市风景,大概站在自家的卧室窗口就能看得见,我把它叫做“后窗的风景”;三是画的一些隐去了具体面部特征的人像;四是带有材料实验性质的静物写生。
静物在这组以材料实验为目的的作品中,作者在材料的物质特性与精神性的视觉表达方面进行了很好的尝试。在西方油画的传统里,以静物为表现主体的绘画,除了作为以技法训练为目的静物练习之外,以“静物”为一种独立的绘画样式是出现在早期商业贸易比较发达的城市中,满足那些富裕的商人和市民阶层对视觉消费的需要,这样,它便在主题和格调上明显区别于当时主要为教会和宫廷服务的宗教绘画。这些“静物画”无非是表现和炫耀一种物质生活的富有和满足。除了一些优秀的作品之外,在其末流已经演变成了一种纯粹商业性的样式性的绘画,也就我们现在说的商品画或“行画”。在现代绘画阶段,因所谓“静物画”的无主题性和空间处理的自由性,为艺术家的绘画语言表达的创新带来极大的自由度。现代主义绘画的很多名作也即是在传统的“静物绘画”的母题上演化而来,其中又有两条线索,其一是空间、色彩、构成等以视觉经验的创新为目的的画面形象演化;其二是以绘画材料的多样化而带来的视觉心理感受变化为目的的材料实验。而这两条线索在有的艺术家那里往往又是结合在一起的。在董春凤的这些作品中我们既可以看到塔皮埃斯式的材料实验,也可以由这种材料的物理、化学性能的实验而带来的心理体验的变化。其方式又分为两种,一是通过材料的化学性能的变化,而在画面中产生皴裂、渗晕的视觉效果,二是采取现成材料的拼贴来丰富画面的视觉表现力。另外,艺术家自己的人生之路也很长,漫长的生命体验的充足与厚重也是增加画面语言内涵的重要基础。

Muse Dong’s paintings are very emotional, so I try to speculate her to be an emotional person. Her most recent batch of new works can be divided into four types. First, her hometown scenery of fragmented memory; second, a group of urban landscape, something that could be seen standing from your own bedroom window, I call it the "Rear Window Scenery”; Third, some faded Portrait of woman with special features; Four, still life with experimental materials.
Still life experimental materials for the purpose of mastering an artist’s skills is what traditional Chinese artists do. The performance of the main body of the painting in the tradition of Western painting, still life, besides for practice techniques training purposes, it became an independent painting style in the early commercial trade developed cities to meet the needs of wealthy businessmen and public sectors for visual consumption, and so, it is evident the themes and styles of religious paintings were significantly different. These "still lifes" are nothing more than a rich material life and meet the standards of one’s techniques. In addition to some of the outstanding works in its Moliu style of painting has evolved to become purely commercial, also, we are talking about commody painting or line drawing. Great degree of freedom in the stage of modern painting, for innovative language expression of the artist's paintings bring freedom because the so-called "Still Life" need no thematic or spatial processing. Many masterpieces of modernist painting that evolved in a traditional still life painting "Motif, of which there are two clues, one is innovative visual experience for the purpose of screen image space, color, composition, etc. evolution; Second, based on the visual psychological feelings change for the purpose of diversification of painting materials and so experimental materials developed. These two clues in some artists, they converge. In Muse Dong’s works we can see the experimental material Tapies, can also be brought about by this material's physical and chemical properties of the experimental psychological experience of change. The method is divided into two kinds, one by the changes of the chemical properties of the material in chap screen, seepage halo visual effects, the second is to enrich the visual expression of the screen to take off-the-shelf materials collage. In addition, the artist's own path in life for a long, long life experience adequacy and heavy is also to increase the imporant foundation of the painting language.
