上世纪八十年代，我就对曹老师的绘画作品非常喜欢和欣赏。

　　Early in the 1980s, I have taken special interest in Mr.Cao’s paintings.

　　曹老师的作品色彩非常迷人，他的每幅作品，每个笔触都有抒情韵味，甚至随着冷暖对比能感觉到曹老师醉心于他自己的色彩语言的实践。

　　Mr.Cao’s works were very fancy, every of which even every lines were full of emotions, from the contrast between cold and warm color, you can realize that Mr.Cao was enamored of practice of color language.

　　曹老师的色彩复合灰成分很多，但是又保持着高级灰色的洁净。因此在曹老师的各种作品中能体会到他的唯美主义。由于唯美，也就让赏画者感到优雅。在他的江南水乡写生系列作品中我们更能体会到曹老师江南色彩画家的“文人气”。

　　Mr.Cao used to draw with compound gray color, but meanwhile he maintained the cleanness of the high-quality gray. So you can taste the aestheticism from every of his works. Just for this reason, the viewers can feel some elegant from his paintings. From his sketch series of Water Towns South of the Yangtze River, we can appreciate Mr.Cao’s “literator quality” of a southern color painter.

　　曹老师在造型上非常讲究，而且严格。在严格的基础上每一笔又是如此帅气和奔放，因此作品中都充满着——气韵。气韵是中国画山水里最讲究的，而曹老师却把中国画美学的观念应用到了他的西画作品中。这种中西结合是需要反复实践和勤奋创作才能够达到的。在曹老师的作品中，能够品味到他曾经学习过俄罗斯巡回画派，法国印象派大师们的作品，同时也能在他的构图与图形上观察体会到他狩猎题材和兴趣广泛。出于敏感而又勤奋，同时追求造型准确，因此，曹老师作品中总是有一种静中有动、丰富而不俗、丰采而不失恬静、丰蕴而不张扬。

　　Mr.Cao is not only dainty but also strict with sculpt. Relying on the strict base, he add smart and ebullient atmosphere, which filled his paintings with artistic conception. Chinese landscape painting focus on the artistic conception, which was used in western paintings by Mr.Cao. This combination between east and west paintings required repeated practice and diligent invention. From Mr.Cao’s works we can recognize that he has learned Russian Itinerant school and French impression school, meanwhile we can taste Mr.Cao’s wide reading and hobbies from his sculpt and design of his paintings. Due to his sensitiveness, diligence and pursuing accuracy of sculpt, we can find that Mr.Cao’s works have characteristics of static state embodying dynamic state, rich but never tacky, refinement but no tranquil missing, be latent but never fierce.

　　如果说曹老师的早期作品有着写实唯美，而近期作品中已走向更加完美和超脱。在流畅的色彩笔触里更能体会到曹老师的浪漫和个性。哪怕是一幅简单的写生也有着丰富的内涵。

　　People usually regard Mr.Cao ‘s early works as realistic aestheticism, then his recent works may appear more perfect and elegant. You can taste Mr.Cao’s romantic personality from his fluent color strokes. Even his simple sketch has rich meanings.

　　特别是曹老师作品中的江南水乡、小桥流水、垛田边的油菜花，桃园的粉红、白墙黑瓦，处处透露出曹老师娴熟的技巧与唯美的精神。完美主义的结合。因此曹老师的作品非常有品味有格调，同时也能看到他的坚忍不拔不受各种思潮的干扰。

　　Mr.Cao’s accomplished skills and aestheticism were specially presented in his works , where there were water towns south of the Yangtze River, bridge and glide, rape flower beyond the field, the pink flowers, white walls and black tiles in peach garden. The combination of perfectionism. So Mr.Cao was seldom influenced by current thoughts, and his works are full of tenor and pattern, you can find unyielding spirits from his paintings.

　　在曹老师的作品中更体现他的谦虚、礼貌、文雅，甚至能在他的色彩中找到古典音乐的元素。因此我非常喜欢他的“唯美精神”能在色彩中体现与记录。这种唯美的追求和实践更值得我学习和借鉴。

　　Mr.Cao’s works can also present his modesty, politeness and grace, there you may also found classical music elements. So the expression and record of aestheticism in color attract me deeply. And it is worthy for me to learn his pursue and practice of aestheticism.
