中国的书画与中医有深厚的传统和规矩，二者之传承亦颇具其自身特点，现行教育制度的“快餐模式”欲速不达，在很多方面都对其有阻碍作用。“家学”在中国文化的代代传承之中占有重要席位，某种程度上来讲，“家学”对于一个艺术家后来的塑造甚至起决定性作用。

　　徐洁生于浙江金华，近代书画大师黄宾虹的故乡。大文化环境的蒙养自不赘述，父辈的艺道行修更为她创造了无限的良性滋养。其父徐裕国，金华工艺美术大师。在传统婺剧服装的传承、整理及创新发展上均有重要贡献。所著《中国婺剧服饰图谱》为中国婺剧史上第一本图文资料。徐公又兼擅书画，对于女儿徐洁的培养更是倍加重视。少年习武的徐洁，秉承宋前古风，不分文武，俨然大气象。世代书香，能文兼武，家学给予她的胸次就是傅青主、王觉斯的博大与宽广，她因之不会流连于文征明、董其昌过多，南人北气，殊为不易。

　　内心明敏而剑走偏锋，最容易塑造大性情的艺术家，即康南海者亦在《广艺舟双楫》里存“卑唐”一说。人生的很多事非不能也，乃不为也。从艺者仅仅一隅造车是没有多少价值与生命力的。徐洁敏锐地选择了国际书象学社来锻造、提纯其艺术品质，可见她有大的远见。国际书象学社创始人魏立刚先生所梳理的“汉字+水墨”系统必然是未来能代表中国本土抽象艺术的唯一观念，具有东方气韵的特质与顽强的艺术生命力。

　　拜观徐洁京城问学所得佳作，真可谓件件华美，新意迭出。大草唐人李嘉祐“年华初冠带，文体旧弓裘。”一作，盘旋缠绕、恣肆淋漓，这吞吐大荒之气，想来大丈夫亦难为之。黑色复杂而又极为敏感，极有力量也极易毁坏画面。徐洁有数十年的书法经验，又精研草书布白之法，对于画面中黑色的“平衡术”腾挪有致，极见才情。纵观2012版《徐洁书象图集》，所收30幅佳作，每幅都与黑色有着密不可分的关系。其中《马蒂斯的哨响》《灶台》《金戈铁马》等均以大块面黑色为之。尤为甚者在《灶台》一作，通幅的梯状造型几乎全用墨色填充，内中又多见层次变换，大稳而大活，灵动处落墨数点。定非刻意为之，却增天趣多多。

　　徐洁的内秀在其暖色系作品中展露无疑。不难猜想，父亲徐裕国、母亲郑桂茶几十年的婺剧服饰刺绣、绘画佳作早已深入她的内心而转呈纸面。婺剧服饰用色奇美而鲜明，郑竹三先生曾这样评介：“婺剧服饰与婺剧戏文同源、同流、同风，阳纯阴美，开张深婉。”这“阳纯阴美，开张深婉。”八字，用以解说徐洁的作品，真真是恰如其分。所谓一地之风养一地人，作为艺术家的徐洁，幼年即在无形中培植了这八个字的气质，观其人更能解其画。有北人的慷慨与豪迈，又兼南人之细腻与优雅。微信中每见徐洁对老母亲无微不至的关怀照顾，总叫人感动。她的细腻更体现在与女儿的朝夕相处中。婉如姐妹一般，两代礼法观念在亲情前荡然无存。徐洁作品的现代性，无不从她这个人、她的生活和经历中来。她的创作程式在“汉字+水墨”系统内屡有新意，近年的方块字系列更是启发当代平面设计师良多。优秀的艺术家都是这样，能打通并启发艺术的各个门类。

　　徐洁总是面带笑容以一个大姐的形象出现，她的活力与乐观总能在任何环境中营造一丝暖意，徐洁不老，徐洁的艺术常青!

　　Chinese Painting &Calligraphy and the traditional medicine have their own traditions and methodicalnesses, the inheritances between them also have their own features. The”fast food mode” of current education system is more haste but less speed, which has a negative impact on the traditional arts in many aspects. “family education” plays an important role in the inheritance of the Chinese culture, to some extent, ”family education” even has a decisive role in shaping for an artist.

　　Xu Jie was born in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, where is also the hometown of recent master Huang Binhong who is major in the painting &calligraphy. The elder generation’s artistic accomplishments created the infinite benignant nourishment for her. Her father, Xu Yuguo who is a master of arts & crafts in JinHua, has been contributed to the inheritance、review and innovative development of Opera Wu’s costume. His academic writing the atlas of Opera Wu’s costume is the first graphic and textual files in the history of the Opera Wu.

　　Mr Xu is good at painting & calligraphy as well, and has been payed extra attention to his daughter’s education. Xu Jie, who learnt martial arts from teenage years old, adhering the ancient customs before the Song dynasty and achieving the high atmosphere both in literature and martial arts. Based on the family background, Xu Jie is both good at literary and martial arts. She is board and wide just like Fu Qingzhu and Wang Juesi, and will not addicted to others such like Wen Zhengming、Dong Qichang too much. It's esteemable for her to have the northerner’s spirit as a southerner.

　　As usual, the artists could be moulded more temperamentally if they are sensitive and creating uniquely. Kang Youwei mentioned that the tablet inscriptions of Tang Dynasty were inferior to the ones of the Northern Dynasties in his writing Wide collection of composition and Calligraphy .So many things in our life are not unreachable but not putting into practice. It is not valuable and vitality, if an artist just acts blindly. Xu Jie has been choosing the International Shuxiang Society to promoting herself, it’s visible that she has a big vision. The “Chinese characters &Chinese ink painting ”system combed by Mr Wei Ligang, who is the founder of the International Shuxiang Society, representing the only idea of the Chinese native abstract art, with the oriental temperament and tenacious artistic vitality.

　　The works Xu Jie created in Beijing are magnificent and innovative. Her Work Just right be an adult and inheriting the elder generation which named by one verse of the Tang dynasty, is spiral、vigorous、circumvolute and unrestricted. It’s even hardly for a man to creating so atmospherically as her. The black colour is very complex and sensitive, powerful but also destroying the whole frame easily so much. Xu Jie was experienced in calligraphy art for decades and mastered in white cloth of cursive art, so that she is very good at the black colour in the picture and talented in the balancing of black colour. To get throughout The XuJie’s Shuxiang collections, the 2012 edition, included 30 works, all of them had close relationships with the black colour. The works such as The whistle of Matisse、The cooking stove、A symbol of war and so on were used large black lumps. Expecially in the work The cooking stove, almost the entire trapezoid shape were filled with ink colour, but there were the changing layers. It made the whole work steady but flexible. There were several ink dots on the spirituality pieces, they wouldn’t be added by design but bringing more nature tastes.

　　Xu Jie’s internal intelligence can be revealed totally in her warm colour series. Obviously, her father Xu Yuguo and mather Zheng Guicha’s works related to embroidery of Wu Opera’s costume ,so that painting has been in her heart deeply and expressed in her own works. The colours of Wu Opera’s costume are beautiful and bright. Mr Zheng Zhusan has been commented as following: The costume and skit in Wu Opera have the same source、genre and style, they are beautiful both in the masculine and feminine，flamboyant and euphemistic. Xu Jie’s works just like this. It is said that human beings are shaped by the environments around them. As an artist, Xu Jie had been built the Wu Opera’s temperament virtually from an early age. It’s better to understanding her works through herself. She is generous like the northerners but exquisite like the southerners. It’s so moving that she is looking after her mother carefully. We can see it on Weixin. Her exquisiteness is also revealed in the daily life with her daughter. They are just like sisters; there is no concept between the two generations but only leaving the family affection. The modernity of Xu Jie’s work is always from herself、her life and her experience. Her creation modality is innovative frequently under the “Chinese characters &Chinese ink painting ”system. “The Chinese character”series created in recent years has been brought a lot of inspirations for the graphic designers of this date. The excellent artist always like this, can open up and inspire various categories of art.

　　Xu Jie always smiles as an elder sisiter, her vitality and optimism could make the atmosphere be more warming under any condition. Xu Jie wouldn’t be old and her art will be evergreen!
