About the Activity
Nested by Su-mei Tse in her "Nested" solo exhibition is the earliest artwork made up of minerals. She placed mineral balls in various sizes and colors in the hollows of limestone formed by natural erosion and played with them in a playful and poetic way.
The marbling on the surface of these mineral balls is something we shall ponder over. It makes us reminisce the connection between macro and microcosms. In the hands of artists, they are like marbles children love to play with, planets of a cosmic system or maybe musical notes bounce for combination, of such process of creation is considered as contemplation by the artist.

Along with her cosmopolitan origins, between Europe and Asia, Tse Su-mei’s artworks present sensory experience of sound and image. Yuz Museum is proud to present you creative workshop which explores across different sensory experience.
Crayons are usually used to draw on the paper, however, this time, within 10 minutes, we are destroying them to create amazing effects. During New Year eve’s workshop, our participants had created beautiful marbling accessories of their own. Are you excited to make one? Sign up to join us!
