2008年5月，在广东省政府的关怀下，潘鹤雕塑艺术园建成正式开放。雕塑园位于海珠区的三滘村，用地面积3万平方米，建筑面积2600平方米，绿地面积占总面积的62.3%。

　　雕塑园的建设让潘鹤酝酿已久的构想有了实现的机会。雕塑园的主题思想是根据潘鹤70年来创作的、涵盖不同历史岁月的作品编汇成“世纪见闻录”，以历史事件为顺序分为“求生存”、“求独立”、“求解放”、“求富强”、“求和谐”五个部分，作品记录了恢宏的中国近代革命史。

　　潘鹤说，自己已经80多岁了，  “儿童时的梦想终于成真了!”能够通过这个雕塑园来延续自己的艺术生命。在自己漫长的创作生涯中，创作的作品就好像“嫁出去的女儿”，已经有200多座分布在世界各地75个城市的市区广场上。百余件陈列在国家级美术馆、博物馆中。俗话说“别时容易见时难”，很多的作品完成之后，自己也没机会到所在的城市再去看一看。而有了这个园之后，仿佛外面的“女儿”们都回娘家团聚来了，心情非常激动。

　　潘鹤已在雕塑园中陈列1-00件作品。这些都本不是为自己的雕塑园所做，但它们都记录着潘鹤的心路历程，反映着社会的风云变幻。“我的艺术生命远没有结束，我要创作更多作品，报答社会。”潘鹤表示，能在耄耋之年得到这样一个机会回望70多年的创作，“人生如此，还有什么所求?”这位几乎看遍了中国一个世纪风云变幻的艺术大师，用勤奋的双手和深邃的目光为中国留下的雕塑“世纪见闻”。
