  In the personal exhibition of “ the World is yours as ours ” in 2000 , M r . Wang Nengtao tried to develop a kind of “Gathering Art ” features ,that is , to

  Realize the art into the form of active organization and arrangement .In these a ctivities , the invitees ( audience )and inviters (artists )all took part in to share the happiness .Speaking from a certain aspect ,he transferred the artistic acceptance and communi – cation in these works to daily associations and rituals . Maybe only in this way can art acquire more power .Two years later , while continuing to develop the communicating form of “Gathering Art ” , M r . Wang shifted his attenti on of artistic creation to “Fan –tasy ” enwrapped in daily language , and this is just the original intention to fulfill the exhibition of “WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD ”.

  “WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD ” is a “Multi –media Art ” in its real meaning .In this dimension of time – parallel ,the artist applies all kinds of media :painting , photography , behavior ,equipment ,drama and dancing .At the same time ,the artist sedu – lously creates a “two –way distortion ”between daily life ritual and artistic creation ritual , that is ,to apply the daily common recreational form to dilute the sacredness of artistic creation , and to express the richness of daily activities

  Through artistic creation .Whatever it may be ,the center of gravity will always be on “daily life ”, but not “ art ” . Seeing from another angle ,along with the process of all creation of richness ,it can also refract the “ noisy grumble ” of modern artistic creation .Once the artists distort art with daily life , art , the sacred “ poetic activities ” will sud – denly take on a feature of “ absurdness ”.While for those beholders who have common sense , such fea –tures of absurd poetics in such art is just corre –sponding to Chinese way of daily activities ,which is in the process of modernized transformation .

  Seeing from the whole “WHAT A WONDER – FUL WORLD ” ,M r . Wang、s foremost featureslies in the attention given to the subtle talking behind daily activities , but not those big words recorded , read and taught .Which means that ,what he cares is how these big worlds be distorted by daily life , and how they control our daily life in reality .Only after this point gets clear ,can we understand why the memory of the past of the artists takes on the same important role as “ the present life ”It is the non – erasable “past ”and the everlasting “present ” that forms up the absurd poetic features of present life .

  In this personal exhibition comprised of 16 time – parallel parts , the artist expresses private dis – course and grand discourse through various recre – ational forms of citizens , such as food ,drink,rec – reation and joy . In this time – parallel space ,the audience is considered as a participant and discoverer ,all the cultural thoughts are projected and reflected in an imperceptible way , while the whole exhibit – tion becomes a poetic drama full of absurdness .Maybe , from the artists 、 point of view , it is the “ noisy grumble ” longing badly for being satisfied with wealth , power and sex can well be the nature of today ′s daily life .His works , seemingly a kind of “mess ”,are actually a carefully designed archi – tecture of “ landuage maze ”.In this particular process , some people recklessly enjoy , while others can be enlightened in some way .But undoubtedly for all of us ,it is a great happy gathering ,and a won – derful party between different individuals .
