For the very first time, the arrival of the Age of Steam has transformed the quiet and bucolic-landscape life of 18th century thoroughly. Symbolizing the first light of the modern civilization and the end of the Agricultural Age, the Age of Steam has contributed to the birth of Romanticism which has aroused artists' excitement and enthusiasm for this new era, directly spawning the art genres of Impressionism, Futurism and so on. In an era of widespread use of electric power, the rapid development of photography replaced the painting's reproducing function, urging the painting to blaze new roads in the field of art. The advances in photographic technology has realized the conception of Thomas Edison-changing the still images into moving ones-so that as an completely new artistic mode, film enjoyed its position on the stage of artistic history. Among all these innovations in technology, we finds art has never been so closely related to the Science and Technology, even placing in the same category at certain times because of the common traits of exploration and discovery among them. However, the two loud bangs desperately shocked the world; the ensuing two world wars and the threat of nuclear weapons have shaken people's belief in the Third Industrial Revolution; the cultural field has turned from self-doubt to that of the world. We enable to explore the outer space and land on the moon, however, we has pushed the earth into the trap of endless wars and the over-exploitation, triggering our fears about the future. No matter Paul Sartre's distrust of the individual being, the Beatles calling for the peace in their songs, or Chaplin's satire on big machine productivity, all the artists, as the most sensitive nerve group to the social change, warned of the side effects of it. There is no doubt that 20th was the most turbulent century. Unprecedented over-exploitation and pre-consumption we have done for maintaining and advertising the life style of modern civilization that has caused global warming, energy crisis, air pollution, nuclear war crisis, the issue of cancer and so on. All of these urge us to question how long this planet can bear the sustainable development of human beings? When everything yields to the goal of human desire, and when instrumental rationality and worship of science have occupied the original position of philosophy and religion, does the common development of human beings run contrary to the human nature? Thank you for the endeavors of the 20th century's scientists such as Bohr, Einstein, Hawking and Zha debo refreshing human's knowledge to our world. Positivism, converging with the human brain, the highest cosmic wisdom, the scientists have showed the macroscopic vision for our upcoming social transition, the Fourth Industrial Revolution leading by the intelligent manufacturing, will be the turning point of the future world.

　　In this great turning point, the tight connection of science and art will determine the mankind's happiness index of life in the future. Tracing back in history, any occurrence of the new ideas got the support from the new scientific discoveries while new technologies leaded directly to new art language. Science and Arts, both regards the world as a researching object, human creativity as their common foundation and the understanding of the world universality as their common goal. Therefore, all laws are natural art, and all kinds of arts are narrators of the laws of nature. The integrity between the Science and Arts, same as the coin's two sides, is indivisible. The Renaissance, as a model of integration of the Science and Arts in human history, created a new historic period. In this prosperous period, the new ideas, new language and new technology emerging, can be regarded as a miracle created by the Science and Arts both. The Renaissance, as a turning point, the core is putting people in the first place, and then Science and Arts served people from the perspectives of enhancing their sense of existence and happiness. That has enlightened us: all the innovations, no matter in science or arts, should be people-oriented.

　　Today, on the 2016 AMNC for the topic discussion of "The Fourth Industrial Revolution", I want to ask a question to myself and other artists: How do we have to play the ability of artistic creation and education, shoulder the responsibility of promoting history and waking up people's consciousness in art language during the period of the great turning point. In Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts where I work, my colleagues and I are trying to complete the transformation of our college from a traditional one to a futuristic one. By highlighting the combination of Science and Arts, we manage to lead the science and technology into the filed of arts. We have set up the Singularity Institute, first institute devoting to the New Media of Art and Design worldwide, exploring the interaction between Art and Smart Technology. We believe, in the future, we can cultivate more young talents who are very creative, and truly serve the future of the society with their interdisciplinary education background.

　　It's my great honor 2016 AMNC can invite me to show all of you my works, The Noah's Garden, at this special time. Coinciding with our forum's topic, this piece of works is the epitome and prophecy of our life's present state we confront and also need to be changed. This is also my representative works with new materials and technology used in recent years.

　　According to the Bible's records, mankind's various inappropriate behaviors challenged the nature and broke the laws of nature. As a result, a flood destroyed the human being except leaving the Noah's Ark to preserve the species of plants and animals in order to restart and breed in terms of the laws of nature. During the past 20th century, we had suffered the start of self-destruct mode for many times and caused a great panic. Luckily, for the rationality and the fear of self-destruction, the human beings reined in on the very brink of the abyss. Let's take a look at the plants and animals in Noah's Garden, they are the last hope left for the world; let's take a look at the overlapping images of ourselves in the mirrors and make a self-reflection, how to change ourselves and how to develop a conscious? The answer lies within the Noah's Garden.

　　Four decades ago, the Chinese scholar Liang Shuming already issued a historic problem: Will the world be better? Today, at this moment, I firmly believe: the helm of the history is in our own hand. I firmly believe: people will enjoy their life longer, better and happier. I firmly believe: the nature and the souls of human will come back to the earth again, no matter the scientists or the artists, we share the common spirits of sense and sensibility. I firmly believe: the reunion of the Science and Arts today, will lead a new trend of creation and innovation in technology, art language and people's mind. And I also firmly believe: the activation of the virtue world and physical space will make the world share the interconnection.
