摄影已经完全变了。从前，它是一项需要由人来掌控的技术，是一门手艺，是需要运用技术来完成的工作。今天，几乎所有的技术工作都由计算机芯片来完成，摄影者可以像使用自来水笔一样任意挥洒。摄影也没有变，它依然是用镜头把世间的景物凝固下来，并且以影像的方式呈现出来。今年是摄影术发布整整170年，对于具体的人170年是遥远的岁月，但对于人类漫长的历史这只是一瞬间。今天，影像已经无处不在，影像是我们生活的地球上一项发展最为迅猛的技术之一。上至天文，下至地理，面对人间百态，摄影发挥着越来越重要的作用。

　　在工业社会之前，人类主要依靠手工，辅以简单机械生产出各类生活用品，每个物件之间难以完全相同，留下制造者个人明显的痕迹，即使是复制也只能是描摹的方式。进入工业时代则开始大批量制造，高速度、高效率的生产出大量产品。到了今天的数字社会，更是可以无损失的无限制复制。

　　时代越是进步，人们越是怀旧，这是人类一种普遍的思绪，尤其是当我们看着身边无数美好的东西被历史车轮碾碎的时候，人们更加眷顾、关切和渴望那些古老的印记。于是有人从事已经过时的、利用被淘汰的技艺来表达他们的感受。

　　几年前就知道金平在使用铂金(钯)技术，他在边远的山区，偏僻的少数民族山乡，寻觅和拍摄各种原始造纸作坊，并且使用铂金(钯)感光材料把这些影像印制在当地土造的纸张上。当我在展览上面对这些作品时，内心像是被撞击了一番，有一种深深的感动。最近他用同样的技术手段，拍摄了地震给他家乡带来的巨大灾害之后的场景，虽然画面中没有人物在活动，但静默的画面里可以感到蕴含着深沉的情感。

　　一位老人家说过：一个人做点好事并不难，难的是一辈子做好事不做坏事。此话拿来此处描述亦可，对于这些古老的技艺，尝试制作一次、两次并不难，难的是持之以恒不断探索。更难能可贵的是在运用古老技艺的同时，在其中融入个人现实的思考。借用一个当下艺术评论中时髦的词汇—当代性。古老+民间+原始+思考=当代性?这似乎是一个有意思的算式，不断地演绎一定还能生发出更多的结果。

　　而在这里，站在由0和1组成数字时代的今天，我要向手工艺时代致敬。

　　Handcraft Age and Contemporary

　　Photography has been changed. Photography was a technical that controlled by human and as a task finished by application of technical in the past. Today, computer is able to finish all works instead of photographic technical and photographers are able to take photos as writing by a pen. From another angle, photography has not been changed, it still record everything by lens and then print out. This year is the anniversary of 170 years since the photography has been invented. 170 years is a long time for a person but it is a short second in the history of human being. Now, the development of photography is very rapid and existing in every corner of the world. Photography is becoming more and more important in the daily life.

　　Human produced consumer goods by hands and simple machines before the Industrial Age so each goods are different and with characteristics left by the makers. After entering into Industrial Age, consumer goods have been produced in high speed and effectiveness. Today, almost everything could be produced by copy that is the benefit of Digital Age.

　　Meanwhile, with the development of society, people are wondering to go back to old age to find something especially some beautiful memory crashed by wheels of history, which is a common sense of human being. As a result, someone creates photography by old-dated technical on the bases of these old impressions.

　　I knew that Jinping starts research of Platinum and Palladium Printing a few years ago, he seeks and shoots old-aged paper making factories on mountains and in villages and prints photos on local papers by technology of Platinum and Palladium Printing. My heart was moved when I saw his works on exhibition. In recent days, he used same technical to record the scenes caused by earthquake, also there are no life in the photos but a strong sentiment you will feel when standing in front of those photos.

　　An old aged said: Do good things are very easy, but do good things in whole life are very different. This sentence is a metaphor for the usage of old printing technical. And more important is that inject personal sentiment and wisdom into works when using old technical to print photos. Maybe the words ontemporary?is suite for his works and creation which combined old age, folk, original and wisdom together. Maybe this is an interesting combination and could get more and more results by different combination in the future.

　　Here, I should salute Handcraft Age despite living in the Digital Age which composed by 0 and 1.
