2025年春起,“先锋艺术项目”推出《状态访问:当代女性艺术家连续访谈》系列,与在艺术道路上不断沉淀、进取的本土或海外女性艺术家灵机触碰,通过5个开放的问题,捕捉女性艺术家们丰富的、各具特色的生活和创作状态,遇见一些有趣的灵魂和艺术作品。2025年2月16日,我们访问了艺术家谢雯。

最近在忙什么艺术项目或作品?
2025年,转眼间就到了二月,我正在准备几个和“春天”,和“三月”有关的群展。分别在美国的休斯顿以及中国的杭州和宁波,计划累计展出二十余幅作品,其中有花鸟、走兽和人物,几乎都是以前没有实体展出过的绘画作品。

什么在激励着你或给你的创作带来灵感?
做为一个在绝望的生存模式下形成的INTJ,我有很多计划和很多美好的愿景,有几个写得满满当当的作品计划和人生计划小册子,也有独属于我自己的人生黑名单。但往往由于动力不足,我经常蜷缩于我人生的阴影人格里,很少去付出行动实现它们。有时候真的希望自己再接地气一些,为一粥一饭而实实在在地努力。拥有很多很多世俗的、人类的具体的欲望,哪怕有许多许多的懊悔和仇恨也好,也许都会成为我的生存燃料和内在的驱动力,只要不像现在这般流于无意识和致命的虚无,毕竟我的肉身还有很长的路要走。

大多数时间,我喜欢在自己的头脑中呆着,对生活中的绝大部分琐碎事物都不感兴趣,更不擅长于社交,行为也不太符合社会规范。但我喜欢看书,这相当于我可以和最优秀的人类大脑直接沟通。思想或者理念方面的东西往往能触动我的神经,并给予我思考和创作的灵感,由于我的爱好比较多,不仅仅是绘画,有时我也会以摄影和诗歌的方式来完成我的创作。

请介绍你生活的城市和地方,会带远方来的朋友去干什么?
我生活在中国杭州,几乎处于半隐居的状态,周围都是茂密的山林和鸟鸣。我是一个几乎百分之百的内倾型人格且精神高度洁癖,能让我称之为“朋友”的人真的很少,如果是女性好友,我会和她一起去猫咖,一边撸猫一边喝咖啡或者一起去看画展,进行一对一的深度思想碰撞。

没有创作作品的时候,你的生活是什么样子的?
没有创作状态的时候,我也几乎在家宅着。有书、有猫、有咖啡,阳台就有免费的阳光和空气,电脑里有极度聪明的24小时随时待命的知识检索兼聊天工具,可以进行NT式的对话,很充实也很美好。

回顾现有的艺术生涯,最难忘的某个时刻或感到满意的作品是什么?期望自己实现什么艺术目标?
艺术生涯里最难忘的事是我的作品第一次在美国参加实地展览,而且是在美国的芝加哥。虽然我曾经四次去过美国,但都没有去过芝加哥这个城市。我没有最满意的作品,因为我太完美主义了,这是一个很大的缺点。一方面,我爱我的每一张作品,另一方面,每一张都达不到我心目中的完美程度。
我的艺术目标是,可以在多个国家,都举办我的艺术作品个展。

艺术家简介:
谢雯,女,1979年12月出生,独立艺术家。工作和生活在中国浙江杭州,祖籍为中国黑龙江省。目前从事绘画创作、自由摄影、装置艺术、策展以及先锋诗写作。
现为浙江画院中国工笔画研究所创作员、李可染画院青年画院院聘画家、复旦之友书画摄影社特聘理事、浙江省美术家协会会员、华人女性主义艺术家联盟会员、北京工笔重彩画会会员、浙江省中国人物画研究会会员、浙江省陆俨少艺术研究会会员、浙江省中国花鸟画家协会会员、江苏省徐悲鸿研究会会员、余杭区美术家协会会员、杭州原墨社社员。
曾担任美术报“鉴藏”版责任编辑和浙江画院研究员。多篇学术论文和艺术作品发表于《美术报》《中国画画刊》《美术天地》《湖州日報》《理论学术研究》《青年文学家》等期刊杂志。其作品多次参加国际国内展览,并多次上拍于中国嘉德拍卖和西泠印社拍卖,被徐悲鸿艺术研究会、章太炎故居纪念馆等艺术机构收藏。

What recent art projects or works have you been busy with?
It's already February 2025, and I am currently preparing for several group exhibitions related to “Spring” and “March,” which will take place in Houston, USA, and in Hangzhou and Ningbo, China. We plan to showcase over twenty works, including paintings of flowers, animals, and figures, most of which have not been exhibited in physical form before.
What inspires you or brings you creative inspiration?
Most of the time, I prefer to dwell in my own mind, showing little interest in the mundane details of everyday life, and I am not particularly skilled at socializing; my behavior often does not conform to societal norms. However, I love reading, which allows me to engage in direct conversation with some of the greatest minds of humanity. Ideas and philosophical concepts often resonate with me, sparking my thoughts and providing the inspiration needed for creation. My interests are varied; not only do I paint, but I also sometimes express my creativity through photography and poetry.
As an INTJ shaped by a desperate survival mode, I have many plans and beautiful visions, diligently noted in a full notebook of creative and life plans, along with my own personal blacklist. Yet, often due to a lack of motivation, I find myself curled up in the shadows of my own personality, rarely taking action to realize these aspirations. Sometimes, I truly wish I could be more grounded, putting in the effort for the basic necessities of life. To harbor many worldly, human desires—however full of regrets and resentments they may be—might serve as my fuel for existence and internal drive. As long as I do not remain trapped in this state of unconsciousness and fatal nihilism, for my flesh still has a long journey ahead.
Please introduce your living city and the places you would take distant friends to?
I live in Hangzhou, China, almost in a state of semi-seclusion, surrounded by lush mountains and the sounds of birdsong. I am nearly 100% an introverted personality and maintain a high degree of mental cleanliness; there are very few people I can genuinely call “friends.” If I have a female friend, I would take her to a cat café, where we can stroke the cats while sipping coffee, or we might visit an art exhibition for in-depth intellectual conversations one-on-one.
What is your life like when you’re not in a creative state?
When I’m not in a creative state, I spend most of my time at home as well. I have books, a cat, and coffee; the balcony provides free sunlight and fresh air. My computer has an extremely intelligent, always-available 24-hour knowledge retrieval and chat tool, allowing for engaging and rich conversations. It feels fulfilling and beautiful.
Looking back at your artistic career, what is a particularly memorable moment or a work you are satisfied with? What artistic goals do you hope to achieve?
A particularly memorable moment in my artistic career was when my work was exhibited in person for the first time in the United States, specifically in Chicago. Although I had visited the United States four times before, I had never been to Chicago. I don’t have a piece of work that I consider the best because I am a perfectionist, which is a significant shortcoming. On one hand, I love each of my works; on the other hand, none of them reach the level of perfection I envision.
My artistic goal is to hold solo exhibitions of my artwork in multiple countries.

Xie Wen is an independent artist living and working in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, originally from Heilongjiang Province. She is currently engaged in painting, freelance photography, installation art, curating, and avant-garde poetry writing. She is a creative staff member at the Chinese Gongbi Painting Research Institute of the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts, an appointed painter at the Li Keran Academy of Painting's Youth Academy, and a special council member for the Fudan University Friends Calligraphy, Painting, and Photography Society. She is a member of various associations, including the Zhejiang Artists Association, the Chinese Feminist Artists Alliance, the Beijing Gongbi Heavy Color Painting Association, the Zhejiang Chinese Figure Painting Research Association, the Zhejiang Lu Yanshao Art Research Association, the Zhejiang Chinese Flower-and-Bird Painting Association, the Jiangsu Xu Beihong Research Association, the Yuhang District Artists Association, and the Hangzhou Yuanmo Society.
Previously, she served as the editor for the "Appraisal" section of Art News and worked as a researcher at the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts. She has published numerous academic papers and artworks in journals such as Art News, Chinese Painting Journal, Art World, Huzhou Daily, Theoretical Research, and Young Literary Scholar. Her works have been exhibited at various international and domestic exhibitions and have been auctioned multiple times at China Guardian Auctions and Xiling Yinshe Auctions. Additionally, her works are part of the collections of renowned institutions, including the Xu Beihong Art Research Association and the Memorial Hall of Zhang Taiyan's Former Residence.
