绘画作为表达与沟通的方式，我们都希望达到无障碍状态，我致力于通过纯粹的语言符号表达直达内心，不需猜测与解释。作品应该成为一种通道，一边是忘我的表达，一边是无言的触动。这是一个理想，关乎语言也关乎内涵。我在前几年一直在致力于语言的探索与拓展，拓展表达的可能性，当这种探索告一段落时，我转向内在的沉淀并重新筹划自己的作品格局，试图从自身文化传统中抽取最纯粹的元素，并以我的方式将其转化，成为一种有着文化内涵与鲜明文化基因的表达方式，与生存现实相关。

　　We all hope that a barrier-free state may be achieved in our paintings as a means of expression and communication. I devote myself to finding a way to express my innermost feelings directly by means of pure linguistic signs, needless of guess or explanation. An artwork should become a kind of passage with tacit expression on the one side and emotional strings being touched on the other. This is an ideal, bearing upon both language and connotation. Several years ago, I concentrated my efforts on exploration and expansion of language and tried to expand possibilities of expression. When this exploration came to the end of a stage, I settled down and began to rethink deeply about the style of my artworks. I tried to extract the purest elements from our own cultural tradition and transform them, in my own way, into a mode of expression with cultural connotation and distinctive cultural gene which is associated with the reality of survival.
