虎骨，中药名。为猫科动物虎的骨骼。

Tiger bone, the name of traditional Chinese medicine. It is the skeleton of a cat tiger.

用于治疗风湿痹痛，脚膝酸软。 祛风通络，强筋健骨。 《药性论》：治筋骨毒风挛急，屈伸不得，走疰疼痛温疟。

It is used to treat rheumatism, arthralgia, sore feet and knees. Dispel wind and dredge collaterals, strengthen tendons and bones. On medicinal properties: it can cure acute wind contracture of muscles and bones, can't bend or stretch, resist pain and warm malaria.

虎骨质地特点密实坚硬，不同于其他动物同部位同体积的骨头，虎骨的相对密度(比重)几乎比牛骨大一倍。虎骨四肢长骨的横断面，骨质细而骨壁厚，骨中空腔小，内壁中粘附有多量的骨髓，这些骨髓干燥后结成的网状多，约占肢骨断面的三分之二以上，呈棕黄色，有特殊而强烈的腥味。虎骨的色泽光亮自然，浸入沸水中不褪色。虎骨是一种很好的药材，而且也是比较珍贵的。此把件已有数百年之久，已经呈现玉化，非常稀有且珍贵。

Tiger bone is dense and hard. Unlike other animals' bones of the same part and volume, the relative density (specific gravity) of tiger bone is almost twice that of bovine bone. Tiger bone is the cross section of the long bones of the limbs. The bone is thin and the bone wall is thick, the cavity in the bone is small, and a large amount of bone marrow is adhered to the inner wall. These bone marrow form a network after drying, accounting for more than two-thirds of the cross section of the limb bone. It is brownish yellow and has a special and strong fishy smell. The color of tiger bones is bright and natural, and will not fade when immersed in boiling water. Tiger bone is a kind of good medicinal material, and it is also more precious.
