四川铜币，是晚清和北洋时期四川省地方政权铸造的货币。由于川省银铜矿缺乏，加之辛亥革命以后军阀割据，致使中央政府《币制条例》关于铜币之原料比例、铜币面额的规定没有严格遵守，四川铜币发行量十分巨大，致使物价虚高、影响经济发展。四川铜币，自光绪二十九年（1903年）六月开铸，至民国二十四年（1935年）十一月法币开始流通才逐渐退出流通领域。
    此枚四川铜币。币面正中“四川铜币”4字，中间为海棠花图案，上眉有“军政府造”字样，下部为币值，背面中间有个圈，圈内有篆阳文“汉”字，大圈外环18个小圈，象征独立的18行省，在当时主要作为四川军饷币，所以在历史上也是具有浓厚的历史色彩。
此枚钱币工艺最精湛，雕工最完美，浮雕感最强烈的品种，镜面平整光滑，纹饰的相惯线（相惯线——现代机械制图学术语，即平面与平面、平面与曲面及曲面与曲面之间的交线。）显得非常清晰，铸造精美，字口、纹路和边齿深峻，作为未当时四川军政府流通的货币，其暗记防伪更是前无古人后无来者，无可匹敌，钱币表面的包浆醇厚，即便是对铜币没有研究的外行也是爱不释手，极具观赏性。其楷书文字书法极为精湛、大气，间架结构平衡舒展，在钱币里首屈一指。所以此藏品存世量极少，具有较高的收藏意义及交易价值。Sichuan copper coins were minted by local governments in Sichuan Province during the late Qing Dynasty and the Beiyang Period.
