赵寒翔1964年出生。毕业于武汉纺织大学(武汉纺织工学院)。国家一级美术师。武汉纺织大学客座教授。广州市粤港澳大湾区(南沙)改革创新研究院专职副院长。岭南文化艺术创作鉴赏研究院副院长兼高级研究员。中国汝州美协名誉主席。上合组织一带一路丝路文化中国——乌兹别克斯坦特聘顾问。广东收藏家协会书画评审委员会副主任。中国邮政邮册发行委员会艺术顾问。中国文化信息协会工艺美术专业委员会专家顾问。CCTV大国人文特聘艺术顾问。其独创的彩墨山水、彩墨花卉在中国当代画坛独树一帜。2014年其彩墨山水作品作为国礼赠送给南非总统祖玛,2017年其彩墨花卉作品作为国礼赠送到华访问的挪威首相埃尔娜.索尔贝格。2019年其彩墨山水作品在上海合作组织工商峰会上由吉尔吉斯斯坦国主办方作为唯一峰会礼品赠送上海合作组织。CCTV发现之旅频道大国人文栏目组6月19日走进北京人民大会堂拍摄国际文化艺术盛典——“中国之美”赵寒翔专题采访报道。2016参加中俄文化交流年活动。2016年参加中捷文化交流年活动。2016年参加红军长征胜利80周年中国当代名人艺术家交流展活动。2016年荣获中国新长城文化金奖。被授予”中国新长城艺术家“荣誉称号。2016年荣获“中美杰出华人艺术家“。2016年,荣获”美丽中国“一一百家媒体重点推荐的”著名书画家“荣誉称号。2016年荣获”三十位影响当代艺坛画家“。2017年中国中外文化研究会重点推荐赵寒翔为献礼中国两会艺术大家。2018年接受美国纽约中国广播电台专题采访报导。2019年参加上海合作组织吉尔吉斯斯坦工商高峰论坛。202O年全国网络媒体联盟推出“赵寒翔——当代艺术人物献礼全国两会。2021年参加上海合作组织20周年人文教育与工业展峰会。2021年荣获美国LABA“全球最具影响力艺术家”。近年在众多全国及海外各级杂志报刊发表作品及接受国家广播电台及电视台采访报道。CCTV发现之旅出品《梦归野山一一彩墨画家赵寒翔》专题报导。出版《袁运甫,卢愚 舜,赵寒翔三人行》,《赵寒翔彩墨精品集》等。
坚如磐石
大自然是一幅亿万年的鸿篇巨作,它历尽沧桑,纯朴而坚毅。要读懂大自然的鬼斧神工,浑然天成,我们可以在中国山水画中找到共鸣。这些自然造物,令画家内心为之动容而幻化成中国山水画。以山为德,高山有揽日月的胸怀;以水为性,流水有容天地的气概。中国山水画自隋唐出现到现在,已经经历了一千多年的演变和不断进步,每个时代的画家都在原有的基础上寻求突破,找寻新法,都是为了画出心中的山石,每个时代都留下了属于自己艺术语言。从山水画中,我们可以体会中国画的意境、格调、气韵和色调,再没有那一个画科能像山水画那样给国人以更多的情感。
千百年来,中国山水画经过各个时期的山水大家们的不断演变发展,已经形成了固定的模式,如近景,中景,远景,高远,深远;小桥流水,树木,人物,建筑……但是,千百年来把山水画中岩石这一特定的元素提炼出来,作为一个特别画科题材的,目前只有赵寒翔在做这方面的探索!
时有古今,地有南北。南方的山婉约凄美,北方的山雄伟陡峭。赵寒翔自小在北方崇山峻岭里长大,骨子里镌刻着浓烈大山的感情。他对巍峨高山充满了崇高的敬意,并将此厚重的敬意沉淀在他的岩石画作中。他体察自然,内化于心,诉诸笔端,将岩石的跌宕起伏千姿百态之美,在他的画作上活灵活现。欣赏赵寒翔所画的石山感觉到是坚韧不拔有力量,刀削斧劈的悬崖峭壁凶险冷峻。
赵寒翔心中的高山是千变万化,没有固定的形态,内心的感觉激励着他不断的创新和突破。尽管各种笔法墨法的泰斗们都代表着他们那时期的画坛精英,已经无法超越,但一味地用已知的方法创造出来的东西永远都是步人后尘,难以企及。既然前人的笔法来自于大自然,当下赵寒翔也能从大自然中汲取营养,自容自造,用新法演绎出属于他自己特色的山水画。
不同时代的画作都会有着不同时代的精神烙印,反应不同时代的文化。赵寒翔最新创作的《坚如磐石》系列歌颂中华民族历经数千年的沧桑仍屹立在世界的东方,坚如磐石!赵寒翔运用中国画的笔墨,西洋画的色彩透视构图,用中西合璧的技法和写生的手法,完美呈现了中国的内敛的哲理和西方张扬的思想。
As Firm As A Rock
Nature is a masterpiece long lasting millions of years, which though goes through all the vicissitudes of life, maintaining simple and resolute. In order to understand of extreme skill and utter harmony of the nature, the resonance within the Chinese landscape paintings is one of the significant approaches. Natural creations inspired the painting masters to create the Chinese landscape paintings, in which painters compare the high mountains to the moral of mankind, for it containing sun and moon among, while compare the running water to the spirit of mankind, for it containing sky and earth along. The Chinese landscape paintings originated from Dynasty Sui and Tang going through more than one thousand years of evolution and continuous progress, Painters from different ages have been looking for new ways to break through on the basis of the former for the purposes of painting the mountains and rocks in their minds, and their artworks eventually turned out to be the artistic language left in the history. From the landscape paintings, everyone could feel the artistic conception, style, and tone of Chinese paintings as is known to all that none of other painting subjects that can express such much emotion to people other than landscape painting.
For thousands and hundreds of years, Chinese landscape paintings have formed a fixed pattern such as close shot, medium shot, long shot, far view, profound view; small bridges , flowing water, straight trees, kindness people, delicate buildings through the constant evolution and development owing to the efforts of landscape painters in various periods. However, as is for now, Mr. Zhao Hanxiang is the only master who has been devoting himself in doing the exploration of painting rocks as an extract specific elements in landscape paintings for a new painting subject.
Time could be distinct as ancient times and modern times, while lands could be divided by northern and southern ones geographically. The mountains in the south are graceful and beautiful, while those in the north are magnificent and cliffy. Mr. Zhao Hanxiang grew up in a northern place surrounded by huge mountains where he felt a strong emotional connection with the mountains stamping in his heart. He has a profound respect for the lofty mountains, depositing it in his rock paintings. He observes nature, internalizes it in his mind and resorts to paintings. The ups and downs of rocks and the beauty of various forms are vividly reflected in his paintings. When appreciating the paintings of Mr. Zhao Hanxiang, you could feel tenacity and power of the mountain stone, and the dangerous and cold cliffs cut by knives and axes.
There is no fixed pattern of the ever-changing mountains in Mr. Zhao Hanxiang’s mind and it drives him feel inspired to make innovation and breakthrough constantly. Although the leaders of various brush and ink methods represented the elites of their periods who are impossible to be surpassed, what is created blindly with the known methods will always follow the footsteps of others and be difficult to achieve. Now that the painting methods of predecessors came from nature, Mr. Zhao Hanxiang is able to also absorb the nutrition from nature and deduces landscape painting techniques of his own, which originated from his characteristics.
There are various spiritual painting labels of different times reflecting the culture behind the years. The latest series of Chinese landscape paintings "As Firm As A Rock" created by Mr. Zhao Hanxiang praise the spirit of the Chinese people standing still in the east of the world after thousands of years of vicissitudes, as firm as a rock! Mr. Zhao Hanxiang presents perfectly China's introverted philosophy and Western publicized ideas with sketching techniques as well as a combination of Chinese-Western technique--brush and ink of Chinese painting and the color perspective composition of Western painting.
