周倩自幼年时代就在书法家的父亲的影响下学习书法和国画，后来又专业学习了油画技法。今天，在她的创作中，融会着东方与西方的启迪。

　　画家的笔下，那些吸收了传统中国构图的山水，往往渲染着印象主义、象征主义或者超现实主义的色彩; 彩墨绽放的花卉上，点缀着油彩的笔触，倍显鲜亮。

　　而在周倩的作品中，最吸引我的，还是她那些抽象的绘画。那是一个五彩缤纷的世界，如梦如真，充满“奢华、宁静和欢乐”(波德莱尔)。在那里，若隐若现着流水、云朵、山石、树木和花草……天与地和谐地交融一处。汉字的碎片和书法的痕迹传送着历史和文明的信息……大自然仿佛以另一种姿态展现着它的魅力。在那个世界里，处处生机勃发，洋溢着清新的气息。一股股强烈的生命的力量正在涌动，积极向上，以最美的形式绽放着，奔腾着。正像画家自己所说的那样，她正是要用画笔捕捉生命的高潮。

　　Zhou Qian: Capture the Climax of Life

　　Zhou Qian has learnt calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting and studied skills of oil painting professionally since her childhood under the influence of her father, who is a calligrapher. In her creation, she mixes oriental and occidental enlightments.

　　Her paintings absorb mountains and waters in the traditional Chinese composition and often apply impressionist, symbolist and superrealist colors: colorful flowers with greasepaint touches are very bright.

　　I am attracted by her abstract paintings among Zhou Qian’s works greatly. That is a colorful world with dream and reality, and is filled with “luxury, tranquility and happiness” (Baudelaire). Flowing water, clouds, mountain rocks, trees, flowers and grass melt into heavey and earth harmoniously there. Naure seems to display her charm in another way. That world is full of clear and fresh air. Strong forces of life are surging the painter says, she is using paiting brush to capture the climax of life.
