《高速形式 #2》是带有强烈张鼎个人风格的“情绪雕塑”装置。“情绪雕塑”是能整体调动观众各个感官的雕塑作品。它本身的创作媒介及材料就是情绪，可能并不具有物化审美形态。“光”这种虚无缥缈的材料也激发了情绪雕塑在某个特定空间的生成过程。

受程序控制、定时触发的26组爆闪灯类似于高速公路上行驶时抓拍摄像头的闪光灯。它们不无突兀地构造属于高速公路的氤氲灯光氛围，然而通过多种手段构成的整体环境因其给人带来的不安及紧张感而不能被称作是沉浸式的——严苛而貌似无序的灯光归训实践既是警醒式的，又是催眠式的。

High-Speed Forms #2 is an 'Atmospheric Sculpture' that can mobilize the audience's senses as a whole. Its own medium and material are emotions, and it may not have a materialized aesthetic form. The illusory material of 'light' has also inspired the generation process of atmospheric sculpture in a specific space. 

The 26 sets of timed and remotely controlled strobe lights are similar to the flashes of surveillance cameras on a highway. They rather abruptly construct upon the chiaroscuro typical of a highway drive at night, in a fashion that does not evoke an immersion: nervous, anxious and psychedelic, the lights that are apparently disciplined and at once randomized orders one to focus and be hypnotized.

艺术家简介

张鼎，1980年生于甘肃，生活工作于上海，是在国际当代艺术界最为活跃的中国艺术家之一。他常创作的大型机械装置作品具有强烈整体性：主题、形式元素与诸多作品部分的紧密联系让他的展览看起来不是众多互相独立作品的横向陈列，而是一件结构缜密、纵向构筑的巨大作品。他曾通过惊人的、有某种新粗暴主义意味的空间装置将美术馆空间转变为华丽而荒诞的囹圄；在互不相干、相距甚远的展览空间之间搭建观念性桥梁；邀请众多风格迥异的乐队、声音艺术家在舞台上同时进行演出，扭曲并压缩声音、影像、空间——在展览现场发生的，往往不是创作成果，而是艺术创作过程。

Zhang Ding, born in 1980 in Gansu Province, based in Shanghai, is one of the most active and influential Chinese artists in the international art scene. His large-scale installations are often total in nature; the integrated and meticulously structured relationships between given motifs and formal elements bring various components together into an architectural totality. From a New Brutalist gesture that locks down a museum space, turning it into a prison; a conceptual and physical staircase between different project spaces in downtown Beijing; a series of gigs over a period of fortnight at the ICA London, inviting bands and musicians to improvise one next to another, compressing and distorting sounds, images and spaces, Zhang Ding presents and deals with live processes and experiences.
