瞬间的感觉有时真美好：花的芬香、风的清爽、水的声响、云彩的自在、树儿的倩影和光与色的嬗变…… 　　我不敢奢望永恒的东西，虽然，知道她可能存在于某个地方。我却喜欢留住片刻的情思。有时也希望做一回庄子：在东篱下、在西隅边、在天涯、在海角。做一只小小的彩蝶…… 　　2005年2月17日于香港屯门 　　Eternity and Moment 　　Transient sensation can be beautiful:the fragrance of flowers,the refreshing coolness of the wind,the sound of water,the freedom of clouds ,the silhouette of trees, the transmutation of light and colour…… 　　 　　I dare not hope for something eternal, yet knowing that it might exist elsewhere .Still,I would like to hold on to these fleeting feelings and perhaps be like Zhuangzi ,taking flight as a little butterfly, under the eastern frence,at the western coner, to the four coners of the earth…… 　　Lam Man-kong 　　17 February 2005-2-22 Tuen Mun,Hong Kong 　　* 2005年3月香港大学美术馆《林鸣岗绘画展》个展前言
