伍伟，当代艺术家，他的作品中充斥着触感欲望，涉及文明、野蛮、神话的议题。使用纸张、金属等材料，呈现具有极简艺术特征的装置作品，在材料与空间中寻找新的可能。毕业于中央美术学院实验艺术系，获硕士学位，现居北京。作品展览于美国、加拿大、德国、奥地利、日本和韩国等，及世界重要艺术博览会Frieze纽约，美国军械库，韩国釜山艺术节，巴黎Asia Now等。

WU WEI, ARTIST (CHINA)

The works of Wu Wei are brimming with sensual desires, involving topics of civilization, barbarism and mythology.The artist explores new possibilities in materials and space, working with paper and metals to express his minimalistic aesthetics.Wu Wei graduated from the Experimental Art Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts China with a master’s degree, and now lives in Beijing. His works have been exhibited in the United States, Canada, Germany, Austria, Japan and South Korea,  as well as world’s prestigious art fairs : Frieze New York, The Armory Show in New York, Busan International Environment Art Festival in South Korean,Asia Now in Paris etc.
