随后的卡拉瓦乔、伦勃朗等在绘画中，开始用强烈的柱状光束来统一画面。
到了19世纪，印象派则用纷繁的「光」点来为观者呈现出明媚的景象，从而将旧有观念彻底击碎。此次「光的足迹──法国艺术展」的参展艺术家皮埃尔·卡隆、雷米·艾融、马克·坦吉、娜塔莉·蜜艾，以及旅法艺术家林鸣岗、藏渊，他们站在艺术史上那些伟大艺术家的肩膀上，仍在孜孜不倦地对“光”这一主题的表达方式倾注心血，努力找寻突破口。在他们多变又充满生机的作品上，我们可以触摸到法国艺术纷繁的新古典主义、浪漫主义、现实主义、印象主义等流派传承脉络，以及他们在经历困惑、打破、重组后建立起一个个非常自我的独立体系的线性发展。
As far as oil painting is concerned, before the 17th century, the Venetian artists were able to use light as an atmospheric expression by glazing. Subsequently, Caravaggio and Rembrandt began to use strong light beams to unify their paintings. In the 19th century, the Impressionists used light spots to present a bright and scenic image to the viewers, completely shattered the traditional approach. The participating artists of "The Path of Light"─French Art Exhibition, including Pierre Carron, Rémy Aron, Marc Tanguy, Natalie Miel, as well as the French-based Lam Man Kong and Cang Yuan, standing on the shoulders of the great artists in art history, are still diligently devoted to the expression of the theme of "light", and are persisting in seizing a breakthrough. After a spring full of French Art thanks to Le French May Arts Festival, I am delighted to see that "The Path of Light" will also represent the French colors this coming summer in such an amazing venue as Hong Kong Pao Galleries.Superbly hosted by the Art of Nature Contemporary Gallery, "The Path of Light" ─ French Art Exhibition will give the opportunity to discover the oil paintings of 6 prominent and renowned French or French-based artists: Pierre Carron, Rémy Aron, Natalie Miel, Marc Tanguy, Lam Man Kong, and Cang Yuan.This "Light" is a crucial symbol in painting art and the fundamental element of creation. In “The Path of Light”, we are bringing their varied works, which show how the art flourishing country has cultivated the artistic refinement of its people and dwellers。Further, we hope to explore the inheritance of the artistic spirit of creation of the France-based artists, the essence of French culture and art, and the influence on the development of oil painting in Hong Kong.
