由于全球新型冠状病毒疫情肆虐，英国政府自11月5日起对英国英格兰地区开始实施第二次全面封锁。本应于每年7月份举办的切尔西艺术学院的硕士展览也受到了影响，无限期推迟的消息使疫情下的艺术创作难上加难。本应被作品、创作生机与欢声笑语环绕的毕业季校园，由于疫情而落满尘埃。巨大的打击，为艺术家们的生活和创作带来了不可预见的变化，自2020年开始，一切都笼罩在不确定性的阴云之下。但是，无论外界环境怎样改变，无论人们的生活被怎样的阴霾笼罩，艺术都是不可缺失的。我们看到画廊、美术馆、拍卖行，相继推出了自己应对疫情的方法，传统的线下实体展览纷纷转战线上，使得艺术从业者、爱好者们不必承担疫情传播的风险，线上可以从容观展。不过，作为艺术家来讲，实体展览是不可替代的，就如同虚拟世界无法替代面对面交流的真实，实体展览也有着不可或缺的特别意义。疫情对我们生活的改变不必赘述，但值得庆幸的是，艺术家们在这样的环境之下毫不动摇、继续创作，此次展览所展出的作品，全部是在疫情期间创作完成。一年半过去了，随着英国政府加大防疫力度与疫苗的普及，切尔西艺术学院终于决定于2021年9月18日举办这次迟来的展览，并由2020届和2021届学生“全球联动”。集合！我们又可以展览了。 

 

 

Considering the global Covid-19 epidemic, the second Lockdown in the UK starts from the 5th of November, 2019. The annual MA Show at Chelsea College of Arts was affected and delayed indefinitely. The whole campus should be converted to a massive exhibition space in graduation season, but now covered in dust. This unforeseeable event saddens the artists greatly, especially at the beginning of 2020; everything seems behind a blind of uncertainty. However, no matter how extreme the environment changes, art must remain. We see museums, galleries and organizations adopted new ways of communication, launching their own online exhibition platform, bring art never closer to us. There is no need to address the hardship of being an artist during this epidemic. The resolution these works shown is worth celebrating here; the determination the artists gave is indeed phenomenal. All the works on display in this exhibition were created during the epidemic. Now, after a year and a half, with the tougher restriction and the popularisation of the vaccine, Chelsea has finally decided to open this belated exhibition on the 18th of September. Rally! We can have a show again.
