4月30日下午，位于周浦的库伯美术馆举办本年度首场群展——“格物·当代女性艺术家联展”由独立艺术家陈春妃策展，陈月珠女士出品。

展出25位女艺术家的70多件不同风格当代艺术作品。“格物”取自《礼记·大学》，“格物致知”一词意为探究事物原理，从中获得智慧。此次展览旨在探讨女艺术家的各种艺术课题和视觉经验，呈现女性视角的美学基因。

展览开幕式上，还发起了“万人格物——断舍离”的捐衣公益行为。观众的首批捐献衣物，将由库伯美术馆于5月中旬，邮寄到四川省甘孜州道孚县各卡乡，未来将分配到山区里的孤寡老人和儿童。

此次展览将持续至7月30日。

关于展览|About Exhibition 

库伯美术馆荣幸推出2021年首度群展览“格物”，“格物”取自《礼记·大学》：致知在格物，物格而后知至，这是中国传统文化极具典型的艺术哲学思辨，“格物致知”一句意指了解世间万物的真相，泛指对事物实践之间的那些相互关系的思考。在这里，我们讨论和呈现我们生而为人，然后是女人，其次是女艺术家的各种课题和视觉经验的实践：根据当下的社会环境，以一种新的女性视角来理解并重构亚洲当代女性艺术文化。在这个特殊的社会情境之下将可能唤醒我们女性感知的美学基因。

Gewu" 格物” The Investigation of Things", is taken from "Classic of Rites: The Great Learning", one of the Four Books in"Confucianism." 

It states that knowledge is pursued through the investigation and research of things.

It is to study the truth of things. "Achieving Knowledge" is to achieve intellectual conscience. 

This is a very typical art philosophical speculation in traditional Chinese culture. 

One of the first steps to understanding "Classic of Rites: The Great Learning" is to understand how to "investigate things (Gewu) ".

This does not comprise scientific inquiry and experimentation, but introspection, building on what is already "known" of "principle".

True introspection is supposed to allow the mind to become all-knowing with regard to morality, relationships, civic duty, and nature. 

 如果 艺术从“格物”到“致知” ，再从“致知”到“格物” 这两种境地里探寻，那么我们女艺术家怎么样在日常里用最普通的媒介创作出“穷尽事物”之作呢？这中间最重要的一个问题还是如何“格物致知”。 

在艺术践行的过程中，如何从艺术的身份中“格物穷理” 。在生活中，如何在家庭里“格物”？

“格物”求的不是自然科学或历史学知识，而是待人处事内心澄明之内涵，在作品里应是“知至”而后意诚。

我们在这里通过各种不同的媒介融会贯通的探索，呈现艺术生命的本质和艺术生活美学的内涵。 

Here, we introduce and present our practices on various subjects and visual experiences as a person, a woman, and artist. 

Based on the current social environment, we are focusing on understanding and reinterpreting the Asian contemporary women's art from a new perspective. 

We are here trying to explore the vibrant, creative culture of Asian feminist artists working today.

We are here to explore the essence of artistic life and the connotation of artistic life aesthetics through a variety of different media. 

This exhibition itself is an investigation of the present socio-cultural environment from a feminine perspective, the very truth of things from upcoming Asian women artists, reflecting through the collaboration in the form of this exhibition.
