景德元宝是中国古代钱币之一。景德年间（公元1004～公元1007）铸，钱文中的德字省去一横，材质为青铜。有小平钱，折二，折五（铁钱）等版式。

宋朝的钱币是中国钱币史上最复杂的。它不仅是币材多样，而且流通受地方限制，钱币面额又多，钱名称也多，其铸造工艺在宋朝，达到了一个崭新的高度。具有重要的研究价值和收藏价值，故被历代收藏家视为稀世珍品。

公元1004年即景德元年，宋真宗开始使用他的第二个年号，这一年发生了一件大事。打了几十年仗的宋、辽达成檀渊之盟，开启了一百多年和平的年代，这也是汉民族和北方少数民族第一个实质性的和平条约。直到金的崛起，北宋背信弃盟，这个合约才被撕毁。景德年号一共使用了4年，著名的景德镇也就是用这个年号命名的。

景德元宝便是在公元1004年至1007年这四年中铸造的，一般为铜制、小平钱。不过也有铁质、折二。景德元宝的大版本、名誉版都不多，它只有一种字体，即楷书，旋读。请注意右边的那个“德”字，与我们通常的写法略有不同，它省掉了“心”字上面的一横。

Jingde Yuanbao is one of the ancient Chinese coins. During the reign of Jingde (1004-1007 A.D.), the character "de" in Qian Wen was made of bronze without a horizontal line. There are small flat money, two fold, five fold (iron money) and other formats.

In 1004 ad, the first year of Jingde, song Zhenzong began to use his second year name. A big event happened in this year. After decades of fighting, song and Liao reached an alliance of Tanyuan, which opened a century of peace. This was also the first substantive peace treaty between Han and northern minorities. It was not until the rise of Jin Dynasty that the contract was torn up. Jingdezhen has been used for four years, and the famous Jingdezhen is named after it.

Jingde Yuanbao was cast in the four years from 1004 to 1007. It is generally made of copper and Xiaoping coins. However, there are also iron, two fold. There are not many large editions and honorary editions of Jingde Yuanbao. It has only one type, namely regular script and rotary reading. Please note that the word "de" on the right is slightly different from our usual way of writing. It omits the horizontal line above the word "Xin".
