清朝是我国最后一个封建王朝，其后期的衰落可谓造成了中国历史上最为混乱的时期。光绪是清代皇帝年号，起止时间为公元1875年至1908年，重大事件有甲午战争、戊戌变法、庚子国变。帝王为清德宗景皇帝爱新觉罗•载湉，出生于同治十年（1871年）6月28日，于光绪三十四年（1908年）11月14日暴崩，享年37岁。同治、光绪两朝，常被合称为“同光”，如同光体、同光中兴。
