光绪元宝是清朝光绪年间（1887年发行）流通的货币之一，是由湖北两广总督张之洞率先引进英国铸币机器铸造的银元和铜元。

光绪元宝共有十九个省局铸造，除中央户部，地方省所铸铜元，皆在其正面上缘镌写省名，是大清光绪年流通大面值货币之首，也是中国首批引进海外技术的印发流通货币。       

此“光绪元宝”钱币重量22.2g，直径3.6cm，品相完整，包浆自然。正面以珠圈为界，可分为内外两个部分，钱币珠圈内铸“光绪元宝”四字，左右两端饰有七点星花，字体端庄清秀，笔画圆润饱满；钱币背面是蟠龙图，纹路如刀刻所成，龙身纹路精美。其版面设计优雅，包浆自然。经过岁月的洗礼和货币流通，钱币的两面变得非常光滑，在柔和灯光照射下会散发淡淡的银光。用手轻轻触摸，可以感受到清凉表面凹凸有致的龙纹与字，质感好，整体美观大方。户部造光绪元宝在中国历史上具有无法估量的学术研究价值和文物保藏价值，且数量稀缺，世之罕见，有着难以言喻的收藏价值。

Guangxu Yuanbao is one of the currencies in circulation during Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty (issued in 1887). It is a silver and copper coin that was first introduced by Zhang Zhidong, Governor of Guangdong and Hubei Province, to British coinage machines. Guangxu Yuanbao was cast by 19 provincial bureaus, except for the copper coins cast by the central household department and local provinces, all of which were inscribed with provincial names on the upper edge of the front. It was the first currency with large denomination in circulation in Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, and it was also the first batch of currency issued and circulated by China to introduce overseas technology. The "Guangxu Yuanbao" coin has a weight of 12.7g, a diameter of 33.18cm, a weight of 11.g, complete appearance and natural patina. The front is bounded by the bead circle, which can be divided into two parts: inside and outside. The coin bead circle is cast with the word "Guangxu Yuanbao", and the left and right ends are decorated with seven-point stars. The font is dignified and delicate, and the strokes are round and full. On the back of the coin is a panlong figure, with lines like those carved by a knife, and the dragon body lines are exquisite. Its layout design is elegant, and its patina is natural. After years of baptism and currency circulation, the two sides of coins become very smooth, giving off a faint silver light under the soft light. Touch gently with your hand, you can feel the cool dragon patterns and characters with concave and convex surface, with good texture and elegant overall appearance.
