Wondering Mind: Impression of Wang Huangsheng's Exhibition
Random line, freely twines around in paper. All these lines look like loose instead of chaos, disorder but with balanced-spring, like a woman's hair flowing in the wind. It also is like belts of eighty seven immortals, elegant and bourgeois, rippling in the walking..

These lines seem a slightly chaotic network, flow in aire of paper, full of life. This sligth and dedicated life of thinking wants to break, and stretchs the four winds and fly freely. But near the end, it run into arc lines, without sharp corners, without resist, but silent, and then they diverge from the center outward, relentlessly is blocked by invisible taboos again, once again, return without any result; and again, they slowly gather around, return to the center. In this way, 'wandering mind' full of vitality, runs to freedom countlessly, and returns to its own place. So, it left confusion of contemporary scholars on the paper.

Perhaps, thinking should not need any direction, and freedom is its nature, so that is it a natural pursuit to leave this life alone without any limitation? Is it a passion? But all these have not been encouraged, is it would be blocked? So this life runs on the paper, above and below, left and right, or from north to south, turns countless and endless circle, day and night, as summer goes.

The spotless paper space makes life of wandering mind run freely, and releases emotions and wisdom. Even, elastic, vibrant wandering mind flys upside by the wind or goes down with river, as like the peng in Peripateticism, flying in the air, drawing an arc line. It also looks like Flying Buddha of Mogao with streamers and flowers in the fog.

Wang Huangsheng's wandering mind lines seem to make urban men to find a slaloming release, unlike Japanese poet ShuntarōTanikawa said in his Days When Birds Disappeard in the Sky: 'when birds disappeared in the sky/sky tears quietly/when birds disappeared in the sky/people are singing ignorantly'.

Thanks to Wang Huangsheng for he weaves the circle image of the Chinese with wandering mind lines, by his painting brush, intentionally or unwittingly.
