The Qing Dynasty copper coin, with the scientific name of Qing Dynasty copper yuan, has four Chinese characters "Qing Dynasty copper coin" in the center of the coin face, embedded with a small word to represent the place name, and the Manchu character "Qing Dynasty copper coin" on the top, with the year on both sides. In the middle of the edge, there are two Chinese characters "Hubu", and in the lower end, there are ten characters "Dangqian". The central part of Qian Bei is a Panlong, and the upper part is "made in Guangxu (or Xuantong)", which is relatively unified in casting. The casting began in 1900 (the 26th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty) and ended in 1911 (the third year of Xuantong). Its circulation time was relatively short. Because of its elegant layout, excellent carving, and extremely rare amount of existence, the Qing Dynasty copper coins made in the year of Guangxu were regarded as one of the ten famous products in modern Chinese coin making.

There were many types of copper coins in the Qing Dynasty, especially the ten. A number of Qing emperors issued copper coins as circulation currency. The use of copper coins has important practical and historical significance, making the transaction more and more convenient. Today, the Qing Dynasty copper coins also have a certain collection value. Many collectors can't let go of the Qing Dynasty copper coins, and collecting a variety of copper coins has become their goal.

When ten copper circles were cast in Qing Dynasty, the Qing government didn't make strict regulations on the patterns of copper circles. Therefore, although the back of the coins of the copper circles cast by the provincial bureaus all adopt dragon patterns, the dragon patterns are different and various. The beginners of copper circle collection are easy to distinguish when they collect ten copper circles according to the name of the provincial bureau where they are cast, the year number, and the material. However, it is relatively difficult to distinguish them according to the Dragon diagram. Therefore, first of all, we must start from the obvious differences between the two types.

At the end of Qing Dynasty, many provinces and bureaus separately cast many kinds of Dang ten copper circles with dragon back patterns, especially in the "Guangxu Yuanbao" Dang ten copper circles, which is quite prominent. For example, Hubei made "Guangxu Yuanbao" as ten copper circles, that is, there are many back dragon patterns such as big pan dragon, small pan dragon, super dragon, water dragon, sitting dragon, bead circle water dragon, bead circle sitting dragon and so on. In 1905, in order to rectify the circular method, the Qing government ordered to stop casting "Guangxu Yuanbao" and to change the casting of "Qing copper coins", and the central government issued a unified ancestral mold. Therefore, the back dragon pattern of "Qing Dynasty copper coin" is relatively uniform, but it is not completely different. For example, if the inscription of "e" is "Da Qing copper coin", there is a distinction between "Da Qing long issued by the Ministry" and "Da Qing long issued by Hubei Province"; and the inscription of "Xiang" is "Da Qing copper coin", there is also a distinction between "Da Qing long issued by the Ministry", "Yi Zi Long", "hunchback dragon" and "broom dragon".
