这个春天在这座城市生活的人的共同话语可不止风沙雾霾杨柳絮。北京独特的传统和运作方式与我们所熟悉的城市地标、共有的文化经验与情感以及城市高速的新陈代谢密不可分。对于《艺术界》来说，北京不只是我们伏案办公的据点，更是我们所根植的政治文化空间。近几年在当代艺术日渐多元化和去中心化的过程中，我们待在北京这个“家”里的时间不知不觉中越来越少。此刻，我们将视线重新拉回到脚下的这座城市。

《艺术界》的新刊——2015年四月号“大都”从建筑、地理、展览史等多重角度分析，交出了一份北京的状态报告，审视北京自成体系的异质机理，以及它摆在台面上的素朴与怪诞、权力与引力。

让我们以《艺术界》新刊“大都”发布为契机，在二环胡同里借一点春风和酒劲聊一聊北京。活动由我们小半个北京人的副主编岳鸿飞主持，并特别邀请到了王光乐和张慧作为活动嘉宾。我们的编辑将充当服务员为大家特调饮品。诚邀大家到时候来遛个弯儿、叙个旧、逗个贫、扯个淡，看看新出刊的《艺术界》四月号，结识新朋旧友。

——LEAP’s April issue “The State of Beijing: A Report” Release Party

This spring, residents of Beijing have more than sandstorm, haze, and catkins to share. Beijing’s political role, historical narrative, and cultural memory culminate in a city where people share a common experience of culture and emotions. For those of us at LEAP, Beijing is not only the home of our operation headquarter, but also the political and cultural space that we are rooted in. As contemporary art in China increasingly diversifies and decentralises, lately we find ourselves spending less and less time at our Beijing home base.

For the new issue of LEAP, we have decided to review the city that we’re most familiar with. The April issue “The State of Beijing: A Report” looks at the art capital from perspectives of architecture, geography, exhibition history, and more. Let this issue of LEAP be a reminder of the rawness and weirdness and authority and gravity that Beijing brings to the table.

LEAP’s new issue release party offers an opportunity to talk Beijing, enjoy the hutong breeze and, of course, to drink. The release party will be hosted by LEAP’s deputy editor Robin Peckham, featuring special guests Wang Guangle and Zhang Hui. Our editorial staff will be mixing special drinks and music to drink to. Come on inside the Second Ring for once, have a drink with us, and take a look at the new LEAP with old and new friends!
