“儿童期癌症”这一术语通常用于指15岁以下儿童癌症。儿童期癌症相当罕见，仅占癌症总数的0.5％至4.6％。全世界儿童期癌症总发病率为每1亿名儿童50至200例。儿童期癌症状况与所有其它年龄组癌症差别很大。一般来说，白血病约占儿童期癌症总数的三分之一。其它最常见恶性肿瘤是淋巴瘤和中枢神经系统肿瘤。

The term "childhood cancer" is commonly used to refer to children under 15 years of age who have cancer. Childhood cancer is rare, accounting for only 0.5% to 4.6% of the total number of cancer cases. The total incidence of childhood cancer is 50 to 200 per 100 million children. Childhood cancer is very different from cancer in all other age groups. Leukemia usually accounts for about one third of the total number of childhood cancers.
