Foundry of Qing copper coins began in 1900, that is, the 26th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty. However, due to the unrestrained casting of copper coins in various provinces, in 1905, that is, the 31st year of Guangxu, the Hubu Mint General Factory set up by the Qing government in Tianjin began casting new copper coins. The main purpose is to rectify and unify the monetary system, try to nationalize the coinage right and strengthen control. Foundry began in 1900 (the 26th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty) and ended in 1911 (the third year of Xuantong), with short circulation time. Because of its elegant layout design, excellent carving, and extremely rare existence in the world, the ten coins made by the household department in Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty are regarded as one of the top ten famous products in modern Chinese coin making.

This E-shaped version of Daqing Copper Coin weighs about 6.9g and has a diameter of about 2.82cm. There are four characters of "Daqing Copper Coin" written in Chinese in the front bead circle of Daqing Copper, and the word "E" is cast in the center. The words "Bingwu" are inscribed on the left and right sides of the upper end of the bead circle, and the words "Hubu" of the province are inscribed in the middle of the two sides of the bead circle. On the back of the coin "E", there is a lifelike dragon. For thousands of years, dragons have penetrated all aspects of Chinese society and become a kind of cultural cohesion and accumulation. This Qing copper coin "E" has clear veins, natural copper color and warm patina. It is made of high-quality copper and has regular shape. It is a fine product of natural currency in the market.

n the late Qing Dynasty, copper prices rose sharply, and people destroyed money for copper, so as to gain several times of profits. There was a shortage of money in the market. Guangdong stopped casting to make money, and the market was running out of money, so it slowly stopped circulating in the back. On the front of coins, the fusion of Manchu and Han cultures is rarely seen, while on the back of coins, it clearly indicates the intervention of western culture. It shows the blending of international politics, economy and culture at that time, which is of great historical significance. It is a valuable boutique that combines collection and investment!
