在中央美院读研期间，我和古冰同住一个宿舍。朝夕相处中，他的坚定和执着给我留下了深刻的印象。

　　生活中的他，不尚奢华，朴实、淡定，一如他对艺术的热爱一般深沉、执着。

　　古冰的画作是那种朴素大方的抒写。从前些年我见到的他那组大型铜版画，到近来陆续看见的他关于藏民的素描及油画系列作品，件件都渗透着画家深沉的情感。作品中肯定的用笔用色，给人一种质朴拙涩的感觉，丝毫没有时下流行的那种潇洒酣畅的表面效果。我知道他更关注内在的美，着意通过拙涩的画笔，传达出他眼中藏族同胞那不加修饰的淳朴之美、天然之美。我喜欢他的《风铃》，那种美丽如同古代壁画一般坚固持久;《酣睡的尕娃》、《稚气》是绝妙的佳作;《玉树魂》里，我分明看到了一位坚毅的青年;《智慧的牧人》如山一般的构图塑造了一位刚健果断的藏族老人……他在这些作品中贯注了一种坚忍不拔的力量。这是藏族同胞的豪爽与单纯留给他的印象，也是他借助对这些形象的描绘，表达自己对坚韧不拔的生命力的讴歌。他在作品中坚定于这样的追求，执着于这样的信念，就像他朴实淡定的容装，平和宽厚中自有一种动人的力量。

　　断断续续十余年的西藏之行，他往返于藏区各地，那里的蓝天白云，那里广袤的草原，深深地震撼了他的心灵。他和藏族同胞交朋友、喝烈酒，并将这种真挚的情感凝注在画笔里、记录在文字中，他以西北汉子特有的质朴与细腻记录下自己的心路历程。读着这些文字和画作，我和他一同翻山越岭、一同骑马奔驰、一同经历黑夜里的风雨之行……我仿佛又看到他那闪闪发亮的双眸，流露出的依然是那份坚定与自信。

　　祝愿古冰以他的坚定与执着创作出更加动人的作品!

　　I live in one dormitory with Gu Bing during the period of fine arts academy, his firm and persistence left me deep impression.

　　His living style is simple, calm, just like his love in art. Works are simple and generous, several years ago he drew big drypoints, recently he drew Tibetan sketch and oil painting series, all of his paintings blended his deep emotion.

　　The positive color in his painting representing plain and shameful feeling, which is quite different from unrestrained effect in popular. I know he pay more attention to represent inner beauty, Tibetan compatriots simple and natural beauty through clumsy and shy drawing style. I like his 《bells》, looks strong and durable like ancient mural, 《asleep baby》,《babyish》 sells very popular, 《jade tree soul》represents a persistent youth, 《the wisdom of shepherds》represents a vigorous and decisive Tibetan old man in a mountainous area. He poured huge emotional power in these works, and he said it’s feedback of life there. All of his works are the impression from simple Tibetan compatriots, and he also eulogized his perseverance of life by these descriptions. Just like his calm and simple appearance, his faith and firm in art also extraordinary, his peace and generosity create moving works.

　　Intermittent trip to Tibet of more than 10 years, the blue sky, white clouds and the vast savannah deeply attracted him. He made friends with Tibetan compatriots, they drink liquor, play together, he imbues sincere emotion into his creations when he drawing, he simply and exquisitely records his mind experiences. When I am reading his word, appreciate his painting, I have a strong feeling that I’m over the mountain, riding horses, experiencing rain trip with him and I saw his shiny eyes, revealing firm and self-confidence.

　　Wish Gu Bing go on creating impressive works firmly and persistently.
