June marks the start of the long, hot summer in Italy and Italian chefs know better than anyone how to awaken the taste buds to stimulate appetites dampened by the summer heat. For this month’s brunch menu, Chef Marino of Opera BOMBANA has taken inspiration from the north-western coastal region of Liguria.
位于意大利西北部的利古里亚不仅盛产丰富的海鲜,优质的橄榄油、罗勒、无花果、洋蓟、琉璃苣及不发酵面包也为这里加分不少。这里有最幸福的夏日时光。让早午餐的时光被美食美酒填满,在舌尖上领略利古里亚区绵延起伏的群山中多样化的创意佳肴。
Like other regions on the Mediterranean coast, it is also famous for high-quality olive oil, basil, figs, artichokes, and focaccia bread, all of which feature on this month’s menu. Liguria is also the original source of pesto, one of the most popular sauces in Italian cuisine, made with fresh basil, pine nuts, olive oil, garlic, and Parmesan cheese.
