邓箭今的作品常有一种将社会问题个人经验化的倾向,他的作品总有某种迷幻的气质,这不仅来源于急促、饱满、神经质的笔触,阴冷而浪漫的色调和充满欲望的人物姿态,而且来源于他随时准备打破真实与梦幻界线的深层愿望,在他的作品中性、暴力、自然灾难都像是一场正在发生但又随时可以终止的游戏,浪漫与恐怖、肉欲与情爱甚至生与死都已经被充分混合。确切地讲,与其说邓箭今是一位画家,不如说他更像这个社会中的一位行吟诗人。

Deng Jianjin’s works always have a tendency to personalize the social issues. His works are always with magic temperature which comes from the rapid, full and nervous strokes, the cold and romantic tones, and the figures’ postures full of desire. It also comes from his deep will ready to break the boundaries between reality and dream. In his works, sex, violence and disasters all like a game which is taking place but can be terminated at any time. Romance and terror, flesh and love, even life and death are fully mixed. Accurately speaking, it’s better to say that Deng Jianjin is more like a wandering poet in the society rather than a painter.
