“Galayaxinuonuo”, this song accompanied my generation while we were growing up. Its melody shrieked from high-pitched trumpets, passed through our eardru,s and entered our blood; later we “ endured a radical transformation and were reborn.” We grew up showered by the same ring of light; our spirit was all-powerful. People born after 1970 have never enjoyed this “nurturing kindness”. They only know how to sing innocent love songs and watch martial arts movies.
People of that time were extremely naïve. They believed in happiness because they had hope. People instinctually tend to worship. Moreover, they love to participate in performance art and be guided by a great performance artist.
This is not without humor. No one gives us time to wait for Godot. It is an impressive sight to watch hundreds of millions of people learning to swim in the movement.
Children are easily infected and influenced by religion, and consequently are able to master it. Confucius said that “ men are innocent by birth.” Like small organisms talented at finding someone to depend and rely on, kind-hearted people are willing to believe anything, both psychologically and physically. Limited life experience did not allow us to discern good from bad. As children, innocence and trust to enabled us to be healthy and happy; therefore life was really beautiful.
After growing up, things began to be contrary to our hopes and wishes and we learned that life was not as we had expected at all. Disappointed, our hearts became rootless like duckweed.
