我是唯美主义者，我的生活理想是“生活艺术化”，艺术理想是“艺术生活化”，我希望生活和艺术水乳交融，艺术自然贴切地融入生活，生活中散发出艺术浪漫的芬芳。     我钟爱传统的工艺和民间美术中丰富的宝藏，因为她们是生长于我们民族淳厚文化和朴实生活土壤中的艺术之花，是和生活最为紧密相联的艺术，千百年来和我们的生活浑然一体地共存着，为我们平实的生活之中平添了一种优雅和欢快。     多年来，我孜孜不倦、甘之如饴地探求、学习和融汇这些珍贵的传统，她们熏习着我的审美情怀，丰富着我的创作灵感。在我的作品中，我无数次地运用了这些传统的艺术元素，使那些朴实而古老的技艺，重新成为充满活力的艺术语言，成为人们喜爱和注目的艺术形式，这也使我的作品透出浓郁的民族风格和欢快的民间情趣。

My Art Perception and Practices
I am an aesthete and my ideal is “to make life an art” and vice versa. I have been long eager for a perfect blending of art with life that the art is in natural and perfect harmony with our life and, in turn, the life gives forth the romantic odor of life.   I have cherished a deep love for the treasures of the traditional crafts and folk art only because they are ever-blooming flowers of art in our rich land of national cultures and simple life. It is the art which is intimately linked with our life. Over thousands of years, our art and life have blended into one harmonious whole, seasoning our simple life with elegance and pleasure.   For years, I have been tirelessly, but contentedly, pondered, studied and compromised the merits of our valuable traditions which have nurtured my aesthetic judgment and enriched my aspirations. I have applied artistic elements of the traditions to my works time and time again in order to transform the ancient and seemingly simple crafts into both an art language full of strong vitality and an art form taking fancy of people. In this regard, my works have exerted an odor of national styles and folk tastes.
