死亡与永恒、被记忆的与被忘却的、现实与虚幻、人自身难以清楚言说的复杂性等都是构建博尔赫斯艺术世界的重要元素。人性的复杂远超他在作品中呈现出的宛若迷宫的叙述方式及思想。孟晓阳与王卓的作品从二维平面的想象空间和三维空间中的雕塑两种方式呈现出与博尔赫斯的诗歌相似的情感特质。
孟晓阳和王卓的作品都借主体形象来呈现某种记忆中的复杂情感,展览现场陈列的作品都指向这些难以言说清楚,又令观者能通过作品达到共鸣的情感记忆。在艺术和思想的世界中,关于情感的记忆似乎是永恒的,挑动这些感觉的具体事件和经过常常会湮没在时间的长河中,但感觉总能在遇到一些东西时突然侵袭观者的感性世界。如果把人有限的生命比喻为有尽头的走廊,孤独、快乐、悲伤等等感觉就像是走廊上的一扇扇窗,每个个体行走在不同的走廊上,透过窗口看到的却是相似的风景。匆匆路过的看风景的人也将成为后来的人看到的风景的一部分,这就是构成可被理解的情感的历史,也是每一个个体的瞬间。
孟晓阳作品中对记忆的寂静化处理从更纯粹的角度呈现出了诗意化的孤独感,而王卓的作品则借微弱的灯光在虚无又辽阔的世界中探寻新的希望。对于体验过认识自身时的迷茫和对更广阔的世界探索时的小心翼翼寻找微光的人来说,这些作品也许能呈现出一扇窗,这扇窗里的一切都与别人无关,对风景和一同看风景的人渴望,对孤独感的抗拒和未知的恐惧都来自于自己。
在这场展览中,两位艺术家的作品都是具有普遍性的个体情感的考古报告。通过观看它们带来的一切情感,都来自于观者自身。因为你不是别人。

Death and eternity, the remembered and the forgotten, the real and the unreal, and the complexity of the human beings, are all important elements in the construction of Borges’art world. The complexity of human nature is far beyond the labyrinth of narration and thoughts he presents in his works. Meng Xiaoyang's and WangZhuo's works show the emotional characteristics similar to Borges' poems in two ways: the two-dimensional imagination space and the three-dimensional sculpture space.
The works of Meng Xiaoyang and WangZhuo both present some complex emotions in memory through the image of the subject. The works on display in the exhibition all point to these emotional memories that are hard to explain and make the audience resonate through the works. In the world of art and thought, the memory of emotion seems to be eternal. The specific events and experiences that provoke these feelings are often lost in the long river of time, but some special feelings can suddenly invade the perceptual world of the viewers when they encounter something. If people's limited life is compared to a corridor with an end, all these feelings like loneliness, happiness, sadness are likewindowsin the corridor.Although each individual walksin a different corridor, the scenerythey see is quite similar.Those viewers who pass by quickly will become part of the landscape for others to see later. This is the history of what constitutes an understandable emotionand the moment of each individual.
The silent treatment of memory in MengXiaoyang's works presents poetic loneliness from a purer perspective, while Wang Zhuo's works explore new hope in the vast and empty world withdim light. For those who have experienced the confusion of self-knowledge and the cautious search for glimmer in the exploration of the wider world, these works may present a window in which everything has nothing to do with othersas the longing for the scenery and the people who look at it together, the rejection of loneliness and the fear of the unknown all come from the viewers themselves.
In this exhibition, the works of both artists are archaeological reports of universal individual emotions. All the emotionsbrought about by appreciating the art works come from the viewers themselves.Becauseyou are not the others.
