One of the best privately-owned collections in Miami is the de la Cruz Collection, which exhibits pieces from the collection of Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz. During this year’s Basel Week Miami, it featured the Beneath the Surface show, which mainly included works by major American artists that have received attention during the past ten years. Among them were Joe Bradley, Dana Schutz, Tauba Auerbach, Kelley Walker, Wade Guyton, Seth Price, Nate Lowman, Dan Colen, Alex Israel, Rob Pruitt, and more. Each respective artist was represented in the collection with exceptional examples of their work.
