超越泥性

  “天九地八”系列的组合名称,如“天九”、“地八”等等的数理组合形式,正可暗示人生的机缘。在这一系列的作品中,强化了中国汉字的符号化,使这一系列的陶艺作品带有明显的中国文化情结。这些通俗的、日常生活化的符号,强调了陶艺作品对现实的针对性和批评性,强调了对于当下生活的真实感受。当这些众多单体的作品以装置艺术的方式呈现予公众时,则构成了与公众直接的对话关系。这些作品也就由个人观念形态转化成为社会性的观念形态,成为一种公共艺术形式。

  In the combined name of “Sky Nine Earth Eight” series, forms of mathematical and geographical combination like “Sky Nine” and “Earth Eight” just indicate the lucky chance of life. The intensification of Chinese characters’ symbolization in this series of work shows the obvious Chinese cultural complexities. These common and daily life signs emphasize the work’s pertinence and critiques towards reality and the real feeling about the present life. When these unitary works were presented in front of public in the way of Installation Art, they made up of the conversational relationship between the public. These works thus transformed from the shape of personal concept into the shape of social concept, and therefore became a public art modality.
